  1. I remember my family having a VHS tape of this when I was growing up. The cover always made me uncomfortable so it remained one of the few movies from our collection that I never watched. Tonight though, after 30 minutes of browsing for a movie to watch, I stumbled upon The Silence of the Lambs on Netflix. The wife had seen it before but all I knew about it was that there was a scene where a character told another character to put the lotion in a basket and that Anthony Hopkins was supposedly good in this. That doesn't begin to cover it. This guy gives a very convincing performance as a total
  2. New Dino Jr record in April, co-produced with Kurt Vile. Here's the lead single: As J Mascis would probably say, this song is a banger.
  3. 😂 in 2024, I'm voting for Chris! EDIT: Oh shit One Sunday Morning!!!!!!!!!
  4. I hear ya. I probably don't spend as much time listening to music but a lot of that could be from not having a commute to work anymore. When I do listen to music, I think my habits have changed, at least a bit, it's less about hearing great new albums and more about those old comforting albums that I know and love. I suspect that's probably from the uncertainty in the world. 🤷‍♂️
  5. Yeah the piano (?) line that starts off around 20 seconds in that song is the same from Red Eyed and Blue. I wonder if that's intentional or coincidence. It's used so similarily in Red Eyed and Blue I wonder if Jay was doing a homage.
  6. Something to Wear... Muzzle of Bees A Place... Unlikely Japan An Animal... Panthers A Number... 23 Seconds of Silence A Day of the Week... uhhh..... I can only think of Monday for this one. Sorry for copying you Donna!! A Color... White Wooden Cross A Girl's Name... Myrna Lee A Boy's Name... Jesus, Etc A Profession... Chris for President A Problem... Losing Interest A Plea... Say You Miss Me
  7. You know, I was just thinking about how on this day last year I was in Minnesota watching Sam Beam and Calexico share the stage and today I'm eating left over pizza for the 45th Sunday in a row 😅 We're also watching Superstore on Netflix. If you want something easy to watch that's along the lines of other NBC workplace sitcoms like Parks and Rec, I recommend it. Sometimes in COVID easy to watch is all I can handle 🤷‍♂️
  8. Oh yeah, should have clarified, I meant more about R&RHOF as a status that bands aspire (or don't aspire) to join, with the induction ceremony that turns into a television special, not so much the museum aspect of it. I haven't been myself but I have been to similar things like the Experience Music Project in Seattle and thought it was great. As someone with only a minor interest in Grateful Dead compared to some around here (American Beauty is a pretty good record!), even I'd go check that out, if I was ever in Cleveland.
  9. Truthfully..... that's a whole lot of artists I don't really care about. I imagine Iron Maiden is a lock. Probably the Foos too? Did Pearl Jam and RHCP make it in their first year? If yes then Foos are a lock. They're probably a lock just from how appealing both their music and Dave Grohl is. Please excuse this rant: These next 10 years will be interesting for the R&RHOF. How many new artists do they induct a year?? 5 or 6? They might want to think about lowering that in the years ahead. 25 years ago is getting into the mid-90s, after the early 00s there wasn't a lot of new rock ban
  10. Everyone needs to check out the new album from The Weather Station, a great woman led band. Their new album Ignorance is getting a lot of well deserved praise.
  11. Oh more so because I'm cursed with this damn youthfulness!! They'll be strict about going by age here I think the current estimates are for late summer for me. The good news is my sister, who's a nurse at a senior's home is getting her second dose this weekend and my parents (64/71) should be in the spring. Anyways, I'm happy for everyone getting their shots! Jealous but mostly happy.
  12. I look forward to posting in this thread in like.... 9 months or something. 😭
  13. The Tweedys have been very generous doing the show throughout the pandemic. If they decided to stop doing it tomorrow, that would be sad but totally understandable, no one expected them to still be doing this in February. I know a lot of people have been very vocal about how much the show has meant to them during the pandemic but I hope that doesn't make Jeff and Susie feel like people are depending on them. So if going down to two nights a week is what keeps them invested in doing it for awhile longer, I think that's great. Truthfully, I was never crazy about the Friday night shows, usually w
  14. Any time we get New Madrid, it's special. Check the connection area inside the iPhone for lint and dust!
  15. Anyone have a setlist for those of us prohibited from watching??
  16. No sign??? I don't think actually that's Vince then.
  17. CBC News: Biden's 1st call to foreign leader will be to Trudeau Friday, says press secretary Hopefully the first thing on Trudeau's agenda will be bringing Saturday's Jeff Tweedy stream to Canadians 😇
  18. Really, really, happy for you Americans. And for all of us. What a relief.
  19. I have to say, it's very disappointing that this is US only. Jeff and Wilco are usually so inclusive, it feels weird to use a service that prevents so many fans from participating in a virtual concert.
  20. I liked how Jeff jumped in and did some unprompted guitar work on the Lucina Williams song with Casey and Spencer. That sort of spontaneity is what makes these streams so special, IMO.
  21. Imagine wanting to do all that for the host of The Apprentice.

  23. Happy birthday to a great drummer. The big 5.0.! I guess that leaves Mike as the last Wilco in their 40s??
