  1. When downloading a group of files from owlandbear, e.g. one of Jeff's santa shows, is there a way to download all the files simultaneously or do you have to do the downloads one file at time? Thanks for the help.
  2. Agreed, but who's the Hootie of this decade? Maybe Coldplay or are they slightly less lame than Hootie and Huey? Huey came into a restaurant I was working in and thought he was the shit. He just chain smoked and tried hard to look cool. He was wearing a sportsjacket that screamed "it's hip to be square."
  3. I knew Giambi's injury was bad Thanks. Gotcha.
  4. Brosius was definitely not "shitty." He was no superstar. He was an awesome defensive third baseman (the best the Yanks have had in a while) and had a few good years with the bat, plus he was a major part of the clubhouse chemistry during the dynasty years. Mendoza, I agree with, but Scotty made his contributions. What is this "ERA+ of 99 ERA+ of 96" business? I do not understand.
  5. Man, the Brew Crew are tough. Francisco Cordero is sick! His ERA is 0.41 with 19 saves. They have a 6 game lead and Bill Hall isn't even hitting. Hardy and Fielder have been great. I think Gwynn is going to be a good ML hitter.
  6. It's really weird b/c he had that one incredible outing against Boston out of the 'pen when Jeff Karstens broke his leg against the first batter. Besides that he's been pretty awful. The fish didn't plan to use Henry Owens when he comes back from the DL? Benitez is over the hill, big time.
  7. The root of the problem is inconistency, mainly with the pitching (the bullpen has been pretty bad lately in spite of better starting pitching over the last few weeks) but the offense isn't "clicking" the way it has in years past. The starters need to continue to show veteran leadership, especially the Rocket, who will take young Phil Hughes under his wing. What this post has to do with Giambi I haven't the foggiest. Kei Igawa got rocked in his first start for Scranton Tuesday night (5IP, 8H, 4ER). I'm curious about his future.
  8. Let's see how they do during his absense.
  9. Not exactly. This allows Damon and Abreu to get more starts at DH with Melky Cabrera filling in in CF and RF. He is their best defensive outfielder. Giambi does get on base and hit a few homeruns but he can't get around the bases. He's not aging gracefully. He's not all that clutch either.
  10. I'm very excited to hear this show. Thanks. My 500th post....yaaahhhh.
  11. Good riddance. He will not be missed among us Yanks fans. He's a bum and a distraction. Plus, they can finally add a much needed fifth outfielder to the active roster, probably either Kevin Thompson or Kevin Reese. They still have Andy Phillips in AAA but that would give them three first basemen (even though AP is playing second down in Scranton). Jaybone is going to be out for longer than 3 weeks. My guess is a return after the all-star break.
  12. Ummm......Ok. That was pretty bad.
  13. The former sir. They don't know nothin'......in so many ways, I find more missing everyday.
  14. Jeff spillin' the feelings. Good stuff. I still haven't felt a great vibe from Pieholden. I know a lot of folks on the board love that song, I'm just not one of them.
  15. Ummmm. I have to disagree. And how about the often overused, generic term, "Americana?" Did she have to use in consecutive sentences? I think the editor ignored this article. I heard Either Way was from Summerteeth. Now I'm really confused.
  16. Ahhh, I reckon it is that one which they seek. It does contain a skyline which is a pretty strong piece of evidence.
  17. Big time Yanks fan here. He is off to a great start but I'm not sure he'll reach 55 or 140. If he stays hot all season he'll end up with crazy numbers. I agree that ARod CAN play in New York. In 3 seasons (not including '07) he has an MVP and 119 HR but has taken way too much slack for the post season. The whole team sucked last season against Detroit, not just ARod. Anyway, I think he will definitely finish his career with the Bombers, whether or not his contract gets extended beyond the 2010 season.
  18. Here's one from that show There's no skyline, but this is one of the posters from the '06 Auditorium shows. Apparantly there are a few different ones.
  19. My guess is that they'll go out west during the fall leg?
  20. The Yanks won and the Sox lost. I'm in utter disbelief.
  21. If you're a newer fan, there's definitely a lot of material to cover. There's all the studio stuff, some live stuff, side projects, UT and unreleased/rare stuff. I would consider the size to be rather significant. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.
  22. Can someone please tell me how to change your link from a web address to "here" or in this case, "linky?" This is horrible. This guy wants to sell the ticket for twelve hundy and then walk in with the buyer?? NYC area VC people should organize a lynch mob. Get 24 people to pitch in $50 each and then lynch the guy for being such a greedy douche.
