  1. A lot of times they use Phish's "Chalk Dust Torture" when going to commercial breaks. Although Trey became a total douche in recent years, that song rocks and has a classic intro riff.
  2. That noise that you refer to in Shake it Off is distracting and seems out of place. I've thought that since the first listen. Besides those loud guitar parts, it's got a nice, mellow groove to it. What's with the power chords Jeff? The noise in Hate it Here definitely seems out of place too. It is still a great track, though it would better if it were arranged a little more quietly. It's still one of my favs on the record. BTW, I finally got around to watching the SIO DVD last night. Jeff looks and sounds great. I like how the focus of JT and the band was to keep things simple and "play
  3. Agreed. What a great first encore! Yep...that would be Lemony Fresh!
  4. Used car salesman says: A must in any Wilco lovers collection.
  5. Terrific stuff. I still think it would have fit nicely into SBS, perhaps between "Side with the Seeds" and "Shake it Off." I wonder if they're going to continue playing it live in the upcoming months.

    Playboy!

Good times. I took a Joyce class and loved it. We didn't read Finnegan's Wake b/c my professor said it was way too dense and would require at least an entire semeseter to cover.
  7. Seconded, heinous stuff. Their frapps, however, are pretty freakin' good.
  8. Perhaps you should switch to Sanka?
  9. You must be missing my man Juan Pierre.
  10. Drove down to Trenton tonight to see Clemens pitch for the Double A Thunder. It was really cool seeing him in such a small venue, kind of like a JT solo show. His command wasn't great but his intensity was there. Good times.
  11. My girlfriend's name is Celeste. She's prettier than the girl on the cover.
  12. Yeah, it was bad. I liked Is That the Thanks I Get from Conan, but then the track didn't make the final cut. Maybe it will be on the next record but I doubt it.
  13. I read that but I don't recall that detail. Neato gang.
  14. So my mother calls me at about 11:35 on Tuesday, right after Dave announced who was on. I thanked her and let her knew that I was aware. I called her on Wednesday to see if she stayed up to watch them. She did and wasn't impressed, then again, neither was I. She saw them do "Hummingbird" last time they were on (I'm a Conan guy myself and loved "The Thanks I Get" from the Conan's Chicago shows last year. Anyway, they were flat and pretty lame the other night....oh well, they will kick ass when I see them in June. And I totally agree that Letterman is a very very UNfunny dude, and, Paul Schafe
  15. Found it.....sweet, thanks. I love Summerteeth and that whole era but....I really love the current lineup. Jay and Ken are pretty dorky. Pat, Glenn and Nels are way cooler. Another reminder that I can't wait until the end of June.
  16. Can't find it....but....Comcast On demand, under music, then under concert.tv, has IATTBYH. I've seen it 20 times but I'll watch it again while it's on here. It says it's "new."
  17. I love "I Hate it HERE."
  18. I agree about Lou. The Cubs are always a bust. Who knew the freakin' Brew Crew would have a 5 game lead, although they have cooled off of late. I'd say the Cubbies have a shot at the wildcard but the Braves are playing good ball and have a strong team so my guess is that it will be them or a team from the West. Great win for the Mets. They are a very solid team. The Yankees, on the other hand, suck very badly. They have an uphill fight for the next 4 months. I just hope the Red Sox hit a slide sometime soon, otherwise the Yanks will be playing for the wildcard before the All Star Break. T
  19. Do you really want What Light from Letterman Tuesday night? IMO it was thoroughly uneventful.
  20. OMG me too. I don't imagine Latin is too popular these days. Last night I heard a news person say "supposably." We Wilcos are an anal breed.
  21. I am from Canton, CT but lived in Boston in '97-'98. I'll be at Pines and at the VT show (it's on my 30th B'day).
