George Will and other conservatives would agree with this. But given our country's history (poll taxes, grandfather clauses, Jim Crow), I feel everyone should be encouraged to vote, and it should be made as easy as possible. From my experience, encouraging people to vote gets them more interested in the issues and more educated about current affairs. When Obama wins, you may want to check out the many other countries that don't allow people to vote. You may find what you're looking for there.

Why would anyone question reminding people to vote? I've reminded everyone I've talked to for the past week and sent out many mass emails. A lot of people don't pay attention or care, but with a little kick in the butt they will. I don't about you, but I like to at least try to live in a functioning kinda-democracy.

I live in St Petersburg Florida. I early voted on Friday. They only have 3 early voting sites in the entire county, and originally they were closing at 4 PM. Thank god they were extended to 7 PM. I went after work on Halloween and voted against the incumbent supervisor of elections. 1 hour 40 minutes. Over the weekend it was over 4 hours, so not so bad.

Braves need pitching. Sheets or Peavy would be great. Burrell to Rays? I don't see this happening. I can't get into this today or my head will explode.
