Along the lines of the remarkable fanbase, note how insanely fast the aud. theater shows sold out. Maybe someone around has exact figures on this?

Detholz on Fri., Califone on Sat. What's the consensus, dudes?

I mostly agree, but I never mind indulging in my fantasy set list. Then again, I can't afford to see them nearly as often as a lot of you folks do.

Very courteous, unexpected, pleasant message board chivalry.

Lollapalooza inks 5 year deal in Chicago

I might be the only person in the world who loved Lolla 2006. The size, while ridiculous, bothered me a lot less than it seemed to bother others. I'm fairly young and energetic enough to get around, so that's a slant I bring to the situation. I thought there were a lot of great sets (Wilco, The Flaming Lips [apparently they aren't good live anymore? This wasn't apparent to me. Wayne Coyne has never been able to sing very well.], The Go! Team, My Morning Jacket, Sonic Youth, etc.). I also disagreed with what many webzines and other article sources said about a lack of crowd unity. I found mysel -
Thanks for telling me which artist i prefer, and being wrong in doing it. I simply thought the Kings put on a better show on that night. Bob is amazing but the Kings are really on the cusp of something, they're at a creative peak. That's hard to compete with, even for Bob. This is a really bad post, as it totally misconstrues the point of the original one.

Wait, Box Full of Letters isn't by Radiohead?

Yeah, of course.

2006 was the first year that I couldn't decide to go to a white sox game the day I planned on going yo it, for obvious reasons. My feelings are similar here.

Was the show sold out or at least full-ish?

Bob's set didn't do a lot for me. You're not realy seeing Bob do much. The songs are so incredibly different live that his original writing of them hardly matters. It's really just about his band, which is, after all, a pack of mercenaries.

I dunno. I'll look into it. Stay tuned.

I saw Bob Dylan in Hoffman Estates two nights ago, with the Kings of Leon as the opening act. The Kings were incredible. The new songs are unbelievable, by far the best music they've made so far. I was completely blown away, even as someone who really likes the Kings. I reccomend seeing them, a lot.

Yes. I like it a lot, I'm listening to it now. Don't worry about the snobbishness on the board. -
I'll to that

I totally agree. I was about to start this same thread, and fouind it already here. ELT acoustic blows me away.

Forgive me, but excluding lolla I haven't seen Wilco in 2 years. When does Jeff still play solos? As amazing a player Nels is, I'm all about hearing Jeff's very unique approach to the electric guitar.

You know you're awesome when obscene name calling prevails over any sort of content in argument.

You would have had me 5 years ago.
