  1. I concur heartily Crow. And thanks for bringing things back around to the topic at hand.
  2. I'd just like to say that Charlie Miller is one of the most righteous Heads that ever was. I've got some stuff from him that was just amazing.
  3. The Republicans appear to be trying to consolidate. Smart move imo. I hope to God that HRC and Barack don't beat each other to death before the general.
  4. Isn't Bogosian the dude that starred in the movie "Talk Radio". I kinda liked that one.
  5. Roxy Music - 5/26/83 - Radio City Music Hall, NYC -FM
  6. I used to think that whitey was inherently evil. Now I believe that although that may be true in general, it is not necessarily true in every case.
  7. I'm glad to hear everyone is ok. There was another round of 80 mph straight-line winds just north of here last night, but no tornadoes. Let's hope the worst is over.
  8. He's a good dude, although I have (on more than one occasion) hallucinated that his head turned into the head of a parakeet. Don't ask.
  9. Miss Jayne, it's great to hear that VC was represented at the Warfield.
  10. That was one of those things that really stood out for me this season regarding Belichick. You might get away with shit like that college ball (even then it's unjustifiable) but it really shows a lack of respect. Very unprofessional imo. God I'm so glad Dungy is still the coach here.
  11. The last time I saw RatDog was Election Night '00. In the middle of a jam Weir said "I hope you motherfuckers voted for Al Gore!" I was kind of taken aback by that. I never went to musicians for political insight. When the GD did the Rainforest Benefit shows in '88 I could get behind that because that transcends politics imo.
  12. I know. I try to remain discreet.
  13. Short answer: yeah. Believe it or not there's a few of us around here. There's an ongoing thread in Someone Else's Song about the GD. Feel free to add your thoughts there.
  14. Oh man. I thought this was gonna be Susan Atkins' obit. I know some (including myself at times) considered him to be a bit of a self-promoter, but you cannot deny that his association with the Fabs did help to make TM popular. I know it certainly has been beneficial to me at times.
  15. You made the correct choice imo. Nice screen name btw.
  16. I know your joking, but: The distinguished gentleman from WV (D).
  17. 30 years ago today: 2/5/78 - Uni-Dome, Cedar Falls, IA I: Bertha > Good Lovin', BE Women, El Paso, T. Jed, Sunrise, Minglewood, FOTD, Passenger, Deal II: Scarlet > Fire, Samson, Ship, Truckin' > Drums > O1 > W. Rat > Around E: U.S. Blues Available as Dick's Picks #18. The ScarFire is easily a top 10 for the Kieth and Donna era. I'm real partial to the Around as well... this was when they went to double-time at the end, bring it down to a whisper, then BAM back to a loud rockin' ending. Bust it out if you have it!
  18. I'm bummed that I don't get to vote until May. It could all be set in stone by then. Or not.
  19. Set 3 - China > Wheel > O1 > Sugaree > Eyes, T Stones > Aiko > and a Playin' Reprise to wrap it up all nice and tidy. Awesome. God, I'm gonna hate myself in the morning.
  20. Mark and Jackie were takin' us back to '01 (Jimmy and Warren) with that Sugaree. Very nice. Eyes!
  21. This is really nice. I hope someone is having fun in real time here. You could see that Phil really enjoyed that O1
