i agree. 2007 has been awesome. 2006 had barely any memorable albums. off the top of my head i can think of modern times, ys, the life pursuit, arctic monkeys, and the greatest. the rest was pretty mediocre. maybe that destroyer album makes the cut as well. 2007, on the other hand, has radiohead, wilco, spoon, kanye, arctic monkey's again, neon bible, boxer, icky thump, back to black, etc. pretty much every week there has been a decent album that has been released.

i bet bodysnatchers is really difficult to play live... just seems like so much difficult timing and random inserts of guitar riffs. thom can sing the shit out of this song live.

Ok, so watching the Jeff's solo dvd and also watching the iattbyh dvd, i noticed a lot of times jeff plays with his pick held between his index and middle fingers, and then he picks the bass notes with his thumb. Is this what most of you guys do, or do you hold the pick with your index and thumb?

i like every song on this album... definite step up from hail to the thief. i think yorke's solo side project was a huge blessing in disguise

so i downloaded the live version of videotape... WAY better than what they ended up going with on the cd. i wonder what made them want to turn that track so dull?

I was wondering if "and I started growing bob dylan's beard" means anything specific. I know tweedy sings this in that one song, but also Jenny Lewis makes a reference to her dad growing bob dylan's beard in "The Charging Sky." I was wondering if that's a common phrase or is it just coincidence that Jenny and Jeff say the same thing... or maybe Jenny is referencing both dylan and Jeff?

how are there so many reviews for in rainbows already? how can anyone have a lasting opinion on a record they've only had in their possession for 3 days?

so this album is awesome... i love every song on it. i think it's amazing how well his voice has kept over the years. did he smoke, or does he smoke? i'm pretty sure smoking is what ruined dylan's voice, and joni mitchell's is weird too now, among many others. but fogerty sounds the same as always.

or maybe i was playing it with a capo... i don't know. anyway, yes that fixes the problem thanks

oh i didn't even notice there was supposed to be a capo on 2. i play it without the capo and it's still hard to hit 12... i guess he's just a champion and does it with ease.

all i know is that this album is better than sky blue sky... that's for sure.

btw this dvd could be the best music movie i've ever seen. i can't believe it's taken me so long to buy it.
