  1. Scott was backstage at Red Rocks night 1. Nice surprise to see him there. I'd very much like to catch a Baseball Project show.
  2. Any decent record stores besides Twist n Shout?
  3. I'm going both nights. Wondering if I should bother taping as Denver tapers always shows up with monster taping rigs.
  4. Went to Tempe, going to both Red Rocks nights.
  5. Going/taping both nights. Went to the 2003 Red Rocks w/REM shows, so I'm excited to head back. Going to Pinche Tacos and Twist and Shout Records while I'm in town.
  6. I saw them 8 times on that tour, god love it. I'm hoping to beat that record on the Whole Love tour. I've seen 4 shows already.
  7. This is a hard sell to anyone of us who have already purchased both the first two volumes and the dvd. Also, a considerable portion of disc 3 has been available as "Mermaid Avenue demos" on various downloading sites for over a decade. Still, I'll pick this up when used copies hit Amazon. A choice between a single disc Volume 3 or boxed set option might have made more sense.

    Red Rocks

Lammy are you going both nights? I remember sending messages back and forth with you when I was in Denver for the 2 nights at the Fillmore.
  9. 5 tapers present. Never seen so many tapers at a Wilco show. I taped as well, but I'm sure the other guys pulled better copies.
  10. http://www.ebay.com/itm/280757316851#ht_621wt_1165 It was still sealed. Now, not so much. Sounds wonderful. Yup, 35 bucks.
  11. Just bought one on ebay for 35.
  12. For all those interested, someone was recording this show with an impressive rig. Said it'd be posted shortly. I was going to tape, but seeing his rig was not unlike every other Wilco show I've shown up to where the other tapers had monster rigs (Denver, Vegas) and I didn't even bother taping cause I knew they were working with thousands of dollars of equipment. Plus I'm starting to like stress free Wilco shows. Singing along to Box Full Of Letters ( a request of mine) and Misunderstood. Next show: Tempe. I might tape that one, if no other taper shows up.
  13. He meant Walking The Cow, and they rarely play that. Seeing them next in Tempe. Hope it's as great as Austin was. Kinda thought Austin would have been more of the barn burner shows I've read about them doing before at Stubbs and what not. But still, it was great to see them in Austin for the first time.
  14. I'll be taping Tempe and a few other shows as well.
  15. I like the cranky remarks. I wish someone would make a compilation of them. And I'm serious, I love when he's cantankerous. It means the ass-hats are about to be put on notice. On a side note, the strangest thing I ever saw at a Wilco show was at one of the show in Denver in 2007. They were playing Jesus, Etc. and this guy who was against the barrier was "acting" out the lyrics while directly in front of Jeff. I was watching Jeff watch the guy, and Jeff didn't know what to think.
  16. Red Elephant The Bogmen Low and Sweet Orchestra-Feature some Pogues members Bash N Pop-Tommy from the Mats first post Mats band
  17. i play guitar and i loves me some this land is your land.
  18. i saw big star along with wilco at all tomorrows parties in L.A. This is a shame.
  19. not sure if Morphine counts, but Morphine in Vegas with 30 people. Joe Strummer in Vegas with maybe 150 people. Old 97's with maybe 100 people Aimee Man with maybe 100 DJ shadow with 50 people. sometimes bands comment about the lack of attendees and the fact that the number of attendees doesn't affect their performance much. I like the under attended shows myself.
  20. Dylan and the Velvet Underground. Girlfriends in high school played them and i hated them. I like them both now. Love the Velvet's Heroin.
  21. Anytime I ever talk to Jeff, I mention that Wilco should come back to Las Vegas. Every time he says something snarky about Las Vegas. "Oh, I love Las Vegas. It's the last great American city." I love that.
  22. This is my 4th year. I'm guessing the average Wilco fan isn't hot on Faith No More, but for me, this is just slightly less amazing than seeing Tom Waits. Plus Pavement....If you've never gone, you should.
  23. I met Jeff In L.A. and he was wearing a TSOL hat. Winonna Ryder walked by a few minutes later. Then Peter Buck, then Pete Yorn. Those John Anson Ford Theater shows in 2002 were amazing.
  24. I transfered the show, minus the hiss reduction. It pales in comparison to what's posted elsewhere. But I can send it to you if you'd like. It's listenable, save for the last 2 songs which were hard to pick up from seat in the balcony.
