  1. That's right! You're friends with my next door neighbors, correct?
  2. Of course! I've lived in Denver for over 20 years....
  3. Sorry, I confused this with the "Where, Specifically, Do You Live?" thread.....
  4. What part of Denver do you call home? We're northeast Park Hill....
  5. I liked when she was in that first rendition of The Dead. She's solid.
  6. Nice. My wife graduated from there. We still take the dogs up there in the summer to hike up the Boulder Creek trail. Fun place to live, but housing costs are worse than Denver.
  7. Which shows? I was just listening to some and over on the JGB site, noting they played Boulder for an early/late date I'd never heard about.... ed. I saw Merl and his band play in Boulder the night of Garcia's death. It was pretty bittersweet, to say the least.
  8. On a nice note, he's been sober/clean for over 20 years....
  9. I've been listening to the re-master 25th Anniversary edition of Green, which has some great live stuff from this tour on it, a lot this past week. I'd forgotten how much I like this album.
  10. Considered this one but didn't know if it'd hold my attention for an entire book....
  11. Very cool. This, for whatever reason, reminded me of one of my favorite '80s fluid combo of tunes, St. Paul, MN (7.10.81) from out of Space: Uncle John's Band-> Playin' in the Band-> China Doll-> Uncle John's Band-> Playin' in the Band-> https://archive.org/details/gd81-07-10.nak300.munder.7314.sbeok.shnf/gd81-07-10d3t02.shn The whole 2nd set is fantastic, but the meat of it above is the stand-out, imo.
  12. I'd do it, if you have time. Maybe even contact BBB. It's bullshit like this gets my goat. It's deliberate manipulation and swindling. I've done similar with a Grease Monkey a couple years ago and customers from yelp appreciated that I posted about their shady practices.
  13. Or an Iceberg Slim novel.
  14. Ha, I was at that Bushnell show! A buddy flipped out on acid during the Birdsong and left the venue...No lie.
  15. Ditto about hearing of her but not her. She was recently announced as slated to play a new music venue in Denver opening this summer (Trey Anastacio Band being the first act, I believe, to christian the venue). I noticed a lot of my FB friends immediately chiming in on how her show will be a "must-see. ed. Confession: any time I had seen her name, until very recently, my brain took it in as Belinda Carlisle from the Go-Gos.... ed. 2: I had never heard of Nipsey Hussle until 2 days ago, either.
  16. Tip of the hat to Laureano. Two nights in a row, both throws to nab Bogaerts. I watched both live and was stunned both times. What an arm...: https://www.mlb.com/news/a-s-shut-out-red-sox-on-homer-amazing-throw This one from two nights ago at the plate...looked like a tie to me: https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/athletics/wowed-not-surprised-ramon-laureanos-throw-home-vs-red-sox
  17. Squirrels steal food from each other, too. But, birds are also culprits of thievery from squirrels. Seems pretty fair, even with them figuring out the $30 gee-gaw.
  18. We watched a pretty solid documentary on Netflix last night: The legend of Cocaine Island. Pretty interesting that it ended, right before the credits, with map coordinates. I had some pretty vivid dreams last night about a treasure hunt....
  19. Except when it came out of Space, Chula Vista '85!
  20. And, an add: Bird Song. Yeah, it's awesome and all. But, the 1st set noodling on it sometimes left me antsy at shows.Seeing Garcia/Khan acoustic do it was different, though.
