  1. Sing me back home, a song I used to hear. Make my old memories come alive.....
  2. I listened to SPAC '85 and Alpine '88 at lunch (small sample size...., and nada). But STILL!! Ha. Could have sworn....
  3. Mile High Stadium, Denver. : https://www.9news.com/article/entertainment/music/that-rolling-stones-concert-at-mile-high-is-unofficially-official/73-614473208
  4. I've seen a ton of Lovelight's as well, and could have sworn I'd seen Garcia doing background vocals at the climactic ending parts before (not all the time, but at times, and I was not at that JFK show)> Wild.
  5. Saw him on Colbert last night. Some song about rain and Noah's Ark.
  6. Right. At least it wasn't chicken! "Out in the west Texas town of Al Pastor, NoJ fell in love with a Mexican steak taco...."
  7. Just close your eyes. Only for a moment and the moment's gone....
  8. So a win-win situation!
  9. Nice one. Check out the 10.26.89 Miami one, too, if you haven't. Estimated->Blow Away->Dark Star->Drums...the whole show is really fine, actually. Foolish Heart opener.....and the Blow Away ("can't you spare just one goddamned minute!" and after the "wait a minute!" comes the wending into DS. A really exploratory one, at that, particularly the back end).
  10. If I remember (from tapes), wasn't Jerry's voice pretty shot for those '90 Europe shows? Also, hasn't Jerry always done back up vocals on Lovelight?Like the "shine on me" stuff...?
  11. The whole album is excellent, and while not a big fan of "Sister Morphine," either, it fits the mold of the album, imo.
  12. Solid show, but I'll take 10.9.89 followed by 10.8.89 followed by 10.23.89. Lots of great stuff to choose from, for sure, in '89 though.....
  13. Um, Dead Flowers and Moonlight Mile are on side 2, dude.
  14. Little Feat- Sailin' Shoe, side 1 Little Feat- Feats Don't Fail Me Now, side 1
  15. Skipped on them in Denver earlier in the week. How was it?
  16. Philly '86 is the first time I remember seeing a 2nd set LLR.... The "Desolation Row" is fantastic from this show, as well. AND, a "Tom Thumb's" out of Space!: https://archive.org/details/gd86-03-25.sbd.braverman-munder.9880.sbeok.shnf
  17. I've always had a thing for that 4.20.83 show! LOVE Esau, Maybe You Know, Bertha kick off of 2nd set!! That's my favorite Maybe You Know, as well. Gotta check the LLR again, too, as it's been a while.
  18. A "LLR" that has a lot of what I love about it, aptly from the great Columbia, S.C. 10.31.85 show (Weir gets down!), with the fantastic Space-> Werewolves opener. The "Musice Never Stopped" is fantastic, as well...: https://archive.org/details/gd1985-10-31.sbd.miller.23590.sbeok.shnf/gd85-10-31d1t09.shn
  19. I'll respectfully disagree. As much as I do enjoy earlier versions, I love the changes the song went through, particularly in the 80s. I loved the subtle build up of the tune, the often over-the-top ad-libbing by Weir at the height of the tune, the crescendos, the "storm/rain" effects by Brent, Garcia's repeated and trilling notes, the echo effect often put to Weir's voice, etc. I had no problem with a monster 2nd set LLR.....
  20. My favorite group to watch since the '04 team.
  21. That could make sense. I thought Kimbrel was rattled due to being used in the ALCS and ALDS in non-closer roles, too, though.
  22. Here's to many more boring and predictable Red Sox 108-win regular seasons! I liked watching MIL, too, but they weren't the best in the NL.
  23. Making a Murderer Part II. About 5 episodes in....
  24. Ask if he had a choice, besides playing Drumio in The Comedy of Errors, which Shakespearean character would he like to portray.
  25. I'll say Sox in 6. Not a lot of folks posting in this thread the past week....
