  1. The "Chicklets" line got lots of usage out of my crew back in the day. I always think of the dude in the front row, too, whenever the movie is mentioned. Man was having himself a grand time.
  2. It's true, Louie. But does it not smack of "same ol', same ol'?"
  3. Oh, I'm familiar with that stuff but I thought you were saying he plays with a bunch of other bands now. Unless I missed something here.....
  4. Hey A-man: who else is he playing with? I think that's great. A few weeks 'til I see them too, Blue....
  5. Here are the keys to the palace. I believe everything you've said. Because I voted for you.
  6. Let's not freak out, but let's not blindly concede, either.
  7. I agree. Some great imagery and nice harmonies in the full suite. Nice lilting stuff.
  8. The fall of '79 is particularly good, as well. I'll say that I think fall tours, in general, represent some of the best music they did. They always seemed to bust out some stellar stuff in the fall for whatever reason. I've got a decent amount from all the years and can get into a certain year/era for a few days/weeks at a time.
  9. Hope your day was nothing but a fine one.... :badger :badger :monkey
  10. Cheers to you, sissooie! :moo :badger :badger
  11. A true VC sweetheart. Nice getting to know you, gogo. You're a great chick. :badger :badger :badger :badger :badger
  12. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a constant project for 14 years....
  13. Axl's a big Queen fan.
  14. I listened to this album for the first time two days ago. I like it, but it wears on me in an annoying way after about half-way through. It's still pretty good stuff, though. The production of the tunes seems redundant after awhile, I think. At least to me. "White Winter Hymnal" gets my vote, too.
  15. Yow! I listened to disc one of that yesterday on the way home from work!
  16. I'll have to concur, though someone may very well choose to disagree....
  17. Yeah, well fwiw and all.
  18. Listened to this last night for the first time in awhile. Still great!
  19. Wow, glad to here some positive spin on it. I'm re-interested, now. Looking forward to hearing it when I get home. FWIW, Chuck Klosterman gives it a very nice review: http://www.avclub.com/content/feature/chuc...sterman_reviews
  20. Which reminds of me of the "Sitting Here in Limbo," they do, as well as "Shenandoah" off of Not for Kids Only.
