  1. Yeah, love the audience clapping on ^ to kick off with a sweet-ass "Bertha"....
  2. My buddy loves matrix when available. I really like listening to my old tapes, a lot that are aud. because of the :"live" feel of them. However, I'll, generally, take a sbd over an aud. almost every time just to enjoy the beauty of each note in the most clarity possible...
  3. You're crazy. It was crazy. And, it was crazy that there were 2 sets of the Wall in order to accommodate for the amount of time it took to set up/take down....at least, so I've read.
  4. When you wake up feeling cold....
  5. HEY-O!! Don't "spoil" the ending of that Browne book, you bastard. I'm going to one Boulder show per the wife's request and she bought the tix. It'll be fun to hang with friends but, yeah.......
  6. Cool. You can go on Wilco tour now....
  7. Today I tried the Kettle Brand Honey Dijon Potato Chips for the first time. Amazing, and waaaay better than their Dill Pickle one.
  8. The Pig (whole) version is horrible, but I didn't mind Brent's slipping in the reprise here and there. Brent would get off on it and it meshed with Mr. Fantasy nicely, imo (plus Garcia's licks on it!)
  9. No doubt. I picked him up early in the season on a few fantasy teams but have really been enjoying being able to watch some Sox games in CO (last 2 weekends vs NYY) and a Wed night game last week....
  10. Yeah, I remember my little brother calling me after the show saying they opened 1st set with Playin' and second set w/ FOTD. I chalked it up, at the time, to him being relatively new to the shows and having the order of tunes mixed up...
  11. You didn't miss much, imo. I watched the Kimmel "Bertha" clip last night, and while Bob looked lively and the drummers were poppin' and snappin' away, I simply cannot get into JM's whole deal: tepid energy and rote playing (at least from my point of view). I shut the "Bertha" down after the "throw me in the jailhouse" verse (which Weir took). I'm glad others can find enjoyment in the band, it just doesn't work for me. Oh well.
  12. Today, at about 3:10 a.m., the fucking Chihuahua that sleeps in (like, completely under our blankets and in between us) in our bed most nights puked. My wife woke up horrified (it was on her side). After a clean up, she slept on the couch in our bedroom and I had the bed to myself, though the space was very limited. ed. I found I when I got home from work yesterday that the puke landed partially on one of my wife's legs. Excellent!
  13. I had a nice stack of wood in my driveway that a neighbor gave me last year from his felled tree. It'd been aging nicely for a year and I was ready for some outdoor fireplace action this spring. Some dude in a truck asked me/my wife twice, recently, if he could have it. We said: "no, we will be using that." Apparently, he thought otherwise, as when I came home from work one day last week, the wood was gone. Now, I don't know for a fact that clownshoes stole my wood or not, I can only suspect the son of a bitch. Hence, and as much as I'd like to, I'm not going to go look for him and kill him
  14. How do you know that it wasn't your kids or the wind or a ghost that pulled your precious shingles up? Seems pretty hasty to start a murder-spree without knowing the facts, pal.
  15. This is a line by "Louise" in that movie she was in. Sorry.....
  16. Is there anyone in high-level politics/government that isn't touched by some level of shadiness?
  17. I wish, though back then $300-400 would've seemed waaaay too steep to me. I've heard good things about this one. might need to pick it up, though have a stack of books I've yet to get through....
  18. I was at this show, too, and remember it being a good one. The only show I got to attend with my youngest brother, who was at B.C. at the time. This was the show I (briefly) met Owsley at (backstage area, a buddy we met up with who worked at Rykodisc let me use his backstage pass at half time). Gotta dig this show out some time soon....
  19. No doubt! Another excellent 90s one to listen to is , gasp, from 1995! This, I submit, is the last great Scarlet-> Fire: Seattle 5.26.95: https://archive.org/details/gd95-05-26.sbd.2663.sbeok.shnf The whole show is worthy of listen, too. Excellent Help->Slip->Frank opener....
  20. Well, she has cited her displeasure with Clinton as a "warmonger", a supporter of fracking, and her stance on minimum wage. She has stated that she doesn't trust her. Seems pretty attuned to her ideals to me. I'd wager that her wealth/fear of losing her money has very little if nothing at all to do with whom she supports or does not support.
  21. She thinks a Clinton presidency is worse than a Trump presidency. Just an opinion.
