  1. Younger people still dig the Stones and The Who and Pink Floyd (maybe not Dylan and Neil as much). I've heard (seen on FB) from plenty of folks in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are planning to go (or at least expressed desire to go)....The crowd isn't going to be all 60-70 yr old white males....
  2. Guess you can't blame Ahmet for responding publicly. Shitty that it's being aired in public, but yeah, more live releases...?
  3. I've seen Dylan a bunch of times since '86 and he's definitely more miss than hit. Most of the time he is, I agree, unintelligible. I recently acquired a bunch of (gasp) cassettes of Dylan shows spanning from the early 60s to early 80s and there's some great stuff in there that just doesn't seem to carry on into the last couple decades or so with him. I realize age and the voice going a bit has merit, but man most of the time from the mid-80s on his life stuff sounds like a gruff chipmunk just barking half-lines of lyrics out (at least that's what it appeared to me on the jumbo screen at a sho
  4. I'm reading it the other way. Either way, they all get the same stage time. I would think Dylan following the Stones would be anti-climatic, in a sense....
  5. I wonder if the way the acts are listed = "Headliner" first (e.g.) Stones "headline" after Dylan plays. If so, that 3rd night seems off....
  6. Just Boulder (local). Would not travel further and would be happy with the stream of Boulder but wife wants to go.
  7. You're correct on "Sway" and "Moonlight Mile," but I'm pretty sure it's all Keith on Brown Sugar (doing both electric and acoustic guitars on the original).
  8. True, but they're also tied with SF and LA, Loved being able to watch all 3 BOS/NYY games this past weekend. The Big Papi comeback blast Fri night, the drubbing on Saturday, and the nail-biter last night.
  9. Nice. My brother has been sending me periscope links the last few days....
  10. I'm sure you're aware, but in case you aren't, JRAD played last night and will again tonight. The Joy Theater I think it was/is....
  11. My 160 GB Classic is still, barely, kicking. Some of the functions stopped working (e.g. Volume control) and the screen has the streaky lines of death on it. It's a shame.
  12. Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton,Sacajawea....

  14. Lucky kid, but still, is it ok to shoot someone just because they have what is perceived to be a gun? That alone shouldn't be an ok to shoot someone (I realize the kid ran from them, but that still doesn't warrant being shot). A kid at my son's high school had one of those handgun-like BB guns and the school and surrounding neighborhood were shut down by about 60 officers and the SWAT team (which I'm cool with).
  15. Hooray! Today's Denver Post: Snow, rain expected in Denver as winter weather is forecast for a comeback The Denver metro area could get up to 6 inches of snow through Friday evening
  16. Do the kebabs make you self-conscious of your "manhood"?
  17. Although 10.31 opens with a Bertha (always a good thing), 11.7.71 is a more solid show, imo. Also, I really like the 11.6.71 show over the 11.7.71 (Bertha factor and Sing Me Back Home...).
  18. I'm assuming it was a black market, shady exchange in an ally downtown at dusk. Did you barter a cheap rabbit pelt for it?
  19. The former artist formally known as Prince....
