  1. Oh man, I HIGHLY doubt it's about the money. Shit, Brian Johnson alone must be worth close to or at triple-digit millions. I'd posit, again, that they've got 10 more shows with tickets already sold to and didn't want to ditch the fans and deal with that whole fiasco. Axl is available, willing, etc. and everybody knows him. His vocal range isn't really that far removed from Brian Johnson's, either, so....why not?
  2. Those are 1-off shows, not half tours. Just a guess that that's why they didn't bag a bunch (10) of their concerts, especially on a tour dubbed "Rock or Bust."
  3. I believe they had a bunch of tickets already sold to a bunch of concerts.....
  4. They should've gotten Michael Stipe to do it. I actually think Axl is a fine choice, even if he can't hit the very high notes anymore.
  5. Bob Dylan shared a "stage" with Tito Jackson for the "We Are the World" sessions.
  6. They're still looking for a permanent bassist, I assume. Even though Dave Schools plays in Hard Working Americans, WSP is pulling back the touring reins big-time (according to a press release yesterday).....
  7. I think it was Jay Bennett that hated goetta....
  8. Why in the name of all that's holy would they choose needlepoint? Weirdo.
  9. Scrap-booking, probably. That's what'd I'd choose, at least.
  10. I'm thinking a drummers bowling league.
  11. Apparently Sorum wasn't even asked, and interesting input from Adler: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/matt-sorum-says-he-wasnt-asked-to-take-part-in-guns-n-roses-reunion/
  12. Not for nothing but he has been on the cover.....
  13. Yeah, this is more along the line I was thinking, something "Greatest Rock Guitar Opening Riffs" or something. I've never listened to Nugent (save for radio shit) nor liked his stuff, but Rolling Stone stiff-arming him due to his "politics" kind of shows what they can do with HOF inductee process....
  14. Me and my ex and one of the kids got bumped to first-class on a flight once (never hurts to ask when you're at that last check-in booth) and I was ordering the fuck out of free drinks and stuff and even sent one back to a guy I used to know who's a lawyer in CO now and I have to say, it really did make me feel more important than the commoners in econo class for that day....
  15. The current drummer has no double kick drum sound (I'm one of apparently not many that thought Matt Sorum was was a fine replacement for Adler) or those double stroke fills he's so good at (makes it sound twice as loud and as if there are 2 drummers). He's very bland and rote.
  16. Hitler would've been a horrible lead vocalist.
  17. That's cool. I honestly never understood the desire to pre-board, though. That's just more time sitting in cramped seats without access to cool air. If they really wanna honor people with special needs/babies/etc., they'd allow you to post-board.
  18. There you go. Or one-hit.
  19. Ever catch a zipper on your scrotum?
  20. He is pretty bad. Really weakens a lot of key points in the 4-5 tunes I heard.
  21. Never heard ^ term....
  22. But what would be the last thing you would be focusing on? The keyboardist? Your shoes? The lighting?
  23. This is how I feel when I watch 2-3 minutes of those Lt. Joe Kenda shows on ID Discovery and in my mind commit to finishing the show.... I submit that the folks in charge at Rolling Stone don't care much for the Prog Rock genre, amongst others. It's not that bands/artists aren't "worthy," just that the inductees are voted on by a small sample of people. Kind of like how Ted Nugent never makes any Rolling Stone "greatest guitarists" or whatever lists anymore because of the bullshit that comes out of his mouth.
