  1. How apt that "bbop" responded here.....
  2. Beatles: "Tomorrow Never Knows" Stones: "2,000 Light Years from Home" Who: "Boris the Spider"
  3. I was just riffing on the top-less aspect of your candidate....
  4. I think with the "right" tune, it could be done in relatively short time (1-2 songs) for most artists. I'm thinking Todd Snider, John Prine, Bob Dylan....
  5. ^ That sticker would work even better if you drive a convertible....
  6. It gets to a point when a lot of people simply give up on even trying to affect change. It's like an abusive relationship where the victim accepts the abuse because they don't know what else to do or where to turn. Politics has been so corrupt for so long that apathy sets in and near-blind acceptance of whatever shit is put in front of us is either tolerated or shrugged off. It blows, but that's the reality.
  7. I never really got into the horror-porn genre, myself.
  8. You guys see this? Neat little article, re: "Ripple": http://www.americansongwriter.com/2015/09/behind-the-song-the-grateful-dead-ripple/
  9. I love karate's version of "Kung Fu Fighting." Those cats were fast as lightening....
  10. So bad you need to go back, eh? We recently got cable again for the first time in a while and have been enjoying On Demand's Paranormal Witness: True Terror before sleep time every night. It really sets you up for a relaxing sleep.
  11. Papelbon wasn't exactly a "veteran" (and in a position to be coming down on other players for lack of (or perceived lack of) effort) when he joined the Sox for his first MLB game in '05..... Either way, he didn't deserve to be publicly admonished by Papelbon (a pitcher, none the less), let alone choked.
  12. It's not like his name hasn't come up before for lack of hustle. I believe Williams pulled him from late in a close game beginning of last season citing exactly that, and he's been questioned about it before that, too. Because he reached the base doesn't mean he "hustled." Whatever, just iterating what a lot of other people view as lack of effort in situations like that with the guy.
  13. I've got no problem giving an MVP to a pitcher, especially since it's gotten rarer for pitchers to receive the award. Papelbon was obviously out of line, particularly acting out in public, but Harper may have deserved to be called out by a "veteran" on his own team for not running it out. Poor way for Papelbon to do it, though.
  14. If you're really out of space, try rolling them up and placing them in a long, round canister. Those poster canisters can then, in turn, be put to some practical usage around the house: legs for a really tall chair, make-shift Wiffle Ball bat, rolling pin for gigantic pizza dough, etc. Just something to consider if you no longer have space for them....
  15. Buddy of mine works for the city theaters/convention center in production and worked this in Denver last weekend (3-D show, whatever that means). Life-sized robots of the band members, etc.
  16. Yeah, that Dew is fantastic from Portland. The whole show is very good, even with a few warts of flubbed lyrics, etc. here and there. First set Throwing Stones-> Deal to end it is right on and, imo, nothing finer than a Bertha to kick off a show.
  17. Good show. Any '82 would be welcome. I like Iowa City and the Frost show from 10.10.82 a lot....
  18. Hitler's speech proof-reader was literally a grammar Nazi.
  19. Progress on the new building was retarded due to unforeseen circumstances.
  20. Seriously? I live at 36th and Newport. I just met our new neighbors (briefly) on Friday night over the fence....guy, gal, and a dog.
  21. You don't like what the big chief say....
  22. They played Kiko during half time at one of the Phish Dicks shows a couple weekends ago.....
