that was a really great show! the weather was perfect (a bit chilly as the sun set), the music was wonderful, and pneyu's cupcakes were divine! babies ruby and miles did great too. i loved how all the different stages were "tucked away" in different spots throughout golden gate park. very cool festival.

hi daniel! i miss you and your humor hope you are well and employed ps: i am very jealous of anyone who gets to see andrew and wilco on the same bill.

14 days? I would do: 4 days Sydney 2-3 days Cairns (for scuba) 6-7 days on the South Island of New Zealand I havent been to Melbourne; so I cant comment. Sydney and Great Barrier Reef are no brainers. Be sure to see a show at the Sydney Opera House; I saw Romeo & Juliet there. We did a side-trip to NZ and that ended up being the highlight of the entire trip. We stayed in youth hostels and met lots of great people. Probably the best vacation of my life so far.

Happy birthday to a good friend, who always holds a spot for me in the front row. So good to see you last week.

the funny thing is that JOHN asked to have his picture taken with the baby:

they left for california just a couple hrs after their show - probably around the same time that minus 5 started--

Little Miles went pee in the Wilco tour bus "potty". Not many 2 year olds can brag about that. Good job for a kid who has only been toilet trained for about 3 weeks. Great show, by the way. The venue really was great and I was reminded once again how much I love Wilco and how much this music means to me. I feel rejuvenated! Unfortunately I didn't catch the Minus 5 show, due to a fussy 7 week old.

Even though she didnt attend 9 Wilco shows in utero (like her big brother), she is still just as big of a fan. And she can't wait for the Wilco show in August at Edgefield! Introducing: Ruby Flordelis Cottrill, born Friday 7.6.2007. 5lbs 6 oz.

hi jasmine! nice to hear from you. cute pic of levi! i remember that 2004 wilco show at otto's...you figured out that i was pregnant too (i guess it was obvious since i wasnt drinking beer). i am having a baby girl in about 2 weeks. her name is ruby and she is giving me wickedly high blood pressure (just like miles did). so i am on bedrest right now. i hope you are well, and i bet you are an awesomely speedy roller derby chick. be careful out there!

Hi Judy! Why dont you 3 come down to Portland for the show? It will be Miles' and Ruby's first ex-utero Wilco show (in utero Ruby will be ~ 1 month old ex utero by late Aug). It's an outdoor venue with a great historic hotel on site. I already booked a room for the nite.

Alec Baldwin leaves a message for his 11 year old daughter
Sandoz replied to SlowBurn68's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
i am sure we can all guess that the 11 yr old is a spoiled, bratty, pain in the ass, pre-adolescent...a product of her surroundings / lack of parenting. this was really sad to listen to. grow up baldwin -
That is a beautiful poster, John. Stunning!

happy birthday judy!

darn, can't make it

i have to agree that people holding up their cellphones during shows is completely annoying and distracting.

JerseyMike, your entire post may have been the nicest I have ever ever read on VC. And your words I quote above are many of the exact words I have used to describe Sky Blue Sky. I cant get over how great it is to see Jeff so healthy, happy, and so comfortable (at least from my perception) with where he is right now. Jeff himself said that he is really proud of this new record. He should be. I love this album.
