i am kinda saddened by this news too. i spent many many hours at the tower in chicago during my college years. nice place to listen to music. i did see smashing pumpkins play acoustic there, sometime before siamese dream was released.

Jeff I am so so sorry. We are thinking of you and your family. Your mom was a very sweet woman --- and definitely your #1 fan! Her spirit will last forever. I still laugh that she kept referring to me as "Spencer's nurse" . Our thoughts and prayers are with you. xxoo Judy Jerod & Miles

They just moved it to the Crystal Ballroom. Totally pissed. The place just isn't good for shows like this. (refer to the Feb Tweedy show if you don't know what Im talking about)

All Over The Place is also the name of The Bangles first album. It's actually quite good, I (embarrassingly) have to admit.

you can spend an entire weekend in powell's bookstore have a picnic in the rose garden, see the japanese garden go for a dayhike in the hoyt arboretum (i live in the arboretum!); tons of trails have gelato or coffee on NW 23rd ave if the show is at crystal ballroom, all of the above are within walking distance have fun!
