I noticed a video of Andrew Bird playing with Wilco in Detroit, and Tweedy said as they began their first encore, "we welcome back our 7th member" (this [scroll down a bit] video of Jesus, etc. is PROOF) Which got me thinking... How FREAKING SWEET would it be if Andrew Bird joined Wilco, even if only for an album? Firstly he's not really a member to begin with, but still. In theory, this sounds drooling-over-the-keyboard awesome. Granted, it's probably not practical, but seriously. It would be psycho-crazy-awesome. So? What does everyone else think?

I really like this stuff! Sweet, thanks! I wonder if Bird played violin on Jeff's track... -
Jeff likes to stow the pick between the index and middle fingers when he gets to finger-picking passages...at least that's the impression that I've had. I picked it up too (though mine usually finds a way to get curled up in the shape formed my by ring and pinky fingers), it's quite convenient.

Well, I won't be surprised if the Yankees start losing more now...

Where were you seated? I was in the second row in the pit, right in front of Pat. I was like a foot from the speakers, so I was getting totally beamed. But it was so awesome I don't care. I definitely think Pat and I made eye contact once or something and we just kinda looked and I froze and it probably looked extra-sketch...but he just kept rockin' out. -

I was one of the few - I don't think anyone else was familiar enough with that trick to catch along. If anyone gets the bootleg (though I should be getting a copy from someone who taped it in my class) - I'm the only one screaming "Yeah!" at the beginning of In A Future Age and Too Far Apart...because definitely no one around me knew what songs they were. I was just grinning from ear to ear the wholeeeeeeeeee show. p.s. was that a doll thing of Jeff on top of his amp head? -

I walked by Andrew Bird around 6:30. I was going to say hi, but I choked. -

If anyone bothers to check, I'll be in the pit, 2nd row. I have an olive-green-ish fleece and a green and white Wilco hat.

Gooooooooo for the sweep Tribe!

LNGCA is on iTunes, so that won't be on there. I don't think Red-Eyed and Blue > I Got You and Too Far Apart would be on there, they're older songs, and it looks like they pick recent cuts to place onto the EPs.

Youtube has videos of Walken at Lolla. If you look at Tweedy closely you can see him just stick a finger across to bar the chords.

Doors were locked, couldn't get in to hear soundcheck. Some dude in my Philosophy class is going and is taping it, I don't know if he meant just the audio or video too, but regardless he said he'd give me the recording. OSU hates torrents, so whoever has uploading capabilities can contact me...?

Sweet! I can check it out right after Philosophy H101A.
