It reminds me of stories about Red Sox fans who just wanted to live long enough to see them win the World Series, on a much more significant level. This woman stayed alive just long enough to marry the love of her life.

I only watch Imus on that. I may start watching reruns of Hee-Haw when that's on. Horrible show, but some great musicians.

Amen! I weird indie style movie that was marketed as a Tom Hanks blockbuster. I LOVED it.

Can't believe I almost forgot about this one, but then again, I can. Jay Farrar played in a show in Des Moines about 4 years ago. It was a huge snoozer. He had a great accompanist on guitar, but he seemed to be having about as much fun as a mail clerk and showed about as much interest.

I always thought "I'm A Wheel" makes a great nursery rhyme / kids' song.

Should've walked out on a Frank Black solo show at a small bar in Des Moines about 6 years ago. He almost did. The sound was horrible and he was clearly not happy to be there. I'm convinced it was that night he decided to reunite the Pixies to cash in.
