I had the Paul cover issue for a long time. Pretty sure the Rolling Stone Hot issue from '86 is still in my parents' basement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

More than 100 pages of notes and index. The hard copy is 435 of text. The backgrounds of the Stinsons - especially Bob - was harrowing. If I knew Tommy and Bob were just half brothers, I'd forgotten.

If this is the case, I would argue his self-loathing is intricately tied to his faith. In my mind, this adds more to his motives, but doesn't change them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I've got no problem lumping all the religious extremists together. They cannot accept others' dissenting views, beliefs, or lifestyles and therefore feel empowered to kill them. I am a Christian who has vast respect for Islam, but ALL religions have extremist wings, even Buddhism. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I am not arguing against gun control here, but I think it is important to point out that France's strict gun regulations did not prevent a very similar massacre at The Bataclan. If we think gun control is the only political issue connected to this incident, we are as guilty of burying our heads in the sand as those who say gun control won't stop any mass shootings. How to prevent ISIS-inspired shootings like this and San Bernadino? I have no fucking clue. I do believe Donald Drumpf's call for a ban on Muslim immigrating to the U.S. is a recipe for more hatred and more attacks, not fewer. -

Fuck these two douchebags. Clinton has made history by becoming the first woman to (presumptively) secure a major party nomination, but I don't feel much like celebrating. -

Hixter, I notice you left this fact hanging out there. Any thoughts on this blatant racism? -

If... A hypothetical. Moot. These kids weren't chanting "spic" or "wetback". They were chanting "Trump". Again, evidence that he has emboldened hatred. What, exactly, did Jimmy Carter do to embolden harassment you faced? This. -

Kids at a basketball game in Iowa chant "Trump" at kids from a school with a large Latino population. I never claimed Trump invented this, I said he emboldened it. Pretty clear evidence of this. It's hateful, it's poisonous, and it ought to be considered anti-American. I'm teaching my kids that it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Emboldening racists and xenophobes to spew hatred, explicitly condoning political violence by offers to pay legal fees for supporters who commit it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

A serious candidate would address the issue as you have. The media have not twisted his words. His announcement speech was so obviously written to appeal to racists and xenophobes. Now he calls a judge biased because he's Mexican. He's not. If I had an opportunity to question Trump, I would ask, "What doe the phrase 'e pluribus unum' mean to you?" I wonder if he even knows what it means. I wish people who plan on voting for Trump because they agree with him on the issues more than Clinton would think long and hard about the damage his candidacy has already had on our culture then imagin -

I can pretty much guess. I was surprised that one of my rabidly conservative friends was for the Tubman bill. He lives in Nashville and must've picked up some truth about Jackson. -

It's amazing how things can change quickly in politics. For example, I think we're in the midst of a Trump makeover to a more mainstream candidate. I'm seeing less and less coverage of violence at his rallies, of the hateful things he's said about Mexicans, Muslims, and other already marginalized groups. Then there's George H.W. Bush who seemed unbeatable after the (apparent) success of the Gulf War. Clinton remembers how that worked out. While the election is only 6 months off, it's a whole half year away, if you take my meaning. Lots of Dems will forget or lessen the vitriol they had towar -

I just don't buy this. I believe the Clinton's are driven mostly by enriching themselves and their reputations even more so than most politicians. I would argue that Bernie feels this far less. I don't necessarily agree with Bernie's solutions to our problems, but I believe he is the most earnest in his beliefs. -
