  1. I think the primary reason Drumpf won't release his tax returns is because they would reveal he's not as rich as he wants us to think he is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I did that once. They found it after I checked out, but was still in town. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I can pretty much guess. I was surprised that one of my rabidly conservative friends was for the Tubman bill. He lives in Nashville and must've picked up some truth about Jackson.
  4. It's amazing how things can change quickly in politics. For example, I think we're in the midst of a Trump makeover to a more mainstream candidate. I'm seeing less and less coverage of violence at his rallies, of the hateful things he's said about Mexicans, Muslims, and other already marginalized groups. Then there's George H.W. Bush who seemed unbeatable after the (apparent) success of the Gulf War. Clinton remembers how that worked out. While the election is only 6 months off, it's a whole half year away, if you take my meaning. Lots of Dems will forget or lessen the vitriol they had towar
  5. I just don't buy this. I believe the Clinton's are driven mostly by enriching themselves and their reputations even more so than most politicians. I would argue that Bernie feels this far less. I don't necessarily agree with Bernie's solutions to our problems, but I believe he is the most earnest in his beliefs.
  6. There are these guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Pregnant boobs. A student at my school got in trouble for googling pregnant boobs. Poor kid.
  8. Does comedy count? Marc Maron Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Many of them brew high quality beer. I let taste guide more than ownership. Didn't know about Lagunitas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Excited to see this on DVD or some other platform available to me.
  12. No it's not. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2016/02/17/obama-now-regrets-his-2006-alito-filibuster-white-house-says/80514152/ Not that he was the first to politicize it. It started with Bork in 1987.
  13. It would have to happen at the convention. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I've always wondered whether we'd be better under a multi-party, parliamentary system. Right now, I think the clear answer to that is no. Hitler was able to use the split votes among many parties to work his way up to Chancellor in Germany. Right now, I think the two-party system is the best guarantor against a Trump presidency. As many people will be voting against Trump as will be voting for Clinton or Sanders when they cast their vote for the Democratic nominee.
  15. Since I downloaded that Colbert extension, I often wonder if people are actually calling Trump Drumpf or if the extension is just doing its job.
  16. Dweezil is on Maron this Thursday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Would love to hear Tweedy on Maron's podcast. Not sure he'd like getting as personal as Maron gets.
  18. I was watching last night's Fallon this morning and my 10 year old son said, "Holy cow! He's old, but he swings his arm like he's young."
  19. Kasich is sane. He's pro life, which I don't care for, but he treats Democrats as worthy opponents, not enemies. In other news, Medgar Evers' brother has endorsed Donald Drumpf.
  20. It all holds up well. Even the fashion. Except the bouffant. Always loved the untied bow tie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Well, I was never a big Jefferson Airplane fan, so the death of Paul Kantner didn't get me at all. But Bowie, wow! I had a number of lifelong friendships forged on a shared appreciation of his music. Those go back 30 years or more. And then I start thinking about other celebrities in his generation, and how they probably don't have too many years left. Also, the pervasiveness of pop culture just grows with each passing day, so the deaths grow not just because of age, but because the number of recognizable celebrities grows. I'm kind of okay with the concept of death, as long as I don't think
  22. I find as I get older, the more deaths bother me. An unsettling reminder of my aging and mortality and no reverse gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
