  1. I don't think SRV appeared in any videos.
  2. Funny, I saw my brother last week, and he had no memory of SRV on that either.
  3. Got a text from a friend at 1:25 am. Saw it at 5:15. Devastated, but touched by all the well-deserved attention he's getting. He gets a lot of grief for his 80's sell out; but, to me, finding him at that time was a first step into a large world of underground music. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Being owned by a macro brewery in and of itself isn't a bad thing. It does become a concern that bigwigs will begin to stick their heads in where they don't belong.
  5. Nice cultural relic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Constitutionally, absolutely. The Feds would be completely in the right to enforce pot laws. Chris Christie moved down my short list when he threatened to do just that, though. Sometimes it's best to use discretion. I haven't paid enough attention to this story to know what the best course of action is though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Not sure any. Will probably buy Wilco, Bowie, Isbell, Mould, Richard Thompson and a few more. I need some idea what I'm getting myself into though. For example, I will buy the new Bowie that came out today, but listened to it twice first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I could never figure out how Sugar's "The Needle Hits E" was a b-side. Much better than "Fortune Teller ". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Evaluating GnR by lyrical content? Never considered that for a second.
  12. Making a Murderer. Holy shit! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Axl, Slash and a bunch of hired hands? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ditto. Ace of Spades is the only song I know, but the guy was a trailblazer and lived life and made music on his own terms. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Episode V. Cloud City. Han, Leia, et. al. held as bait for Luke. No dialogue between Leia and Vader that I recall. Vader had no idea until the climactic fight with Luke in episode VI. My point is if you follow the logic that there are no secrets to those who are strong with the force, you will find billions of inconsistencies and plot gaps. I can't see Luke reproducing if he had any knowledge of how Anakin's relationship with Padme helped lead him to the dark side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Or they had reasons for not revealing the truth like Kenobi to Luke. And why should Leia's force sense be stronger than Vader's who never recognized her as his daughter.
  17. Got both of these for Christmas. The first two in the series I've read. Finished Let it Be. Very good, but more about Meloy's discovery of underground music through a cool uncle than specifically about the band or the album. About halfway through Low. It's all about the music, Bowie's mentality, and the wide array of influences at work. Spotify has been an excellent resource to explore many of those influences. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I think Rey will turn out to be Kylo Ren's sister. No on Finn. Quite possible on Phasma. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Good lord! A near perfect movie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. I would argue that we could prevent their ranks from swelling. ISIS did not form out of thin air. It would be convenient and naive to believe that our policies dedicated to keeping cheap oil flowing out of the middle east haven't hardened attitudes toward the U.S. and the western world in general.
  22. Hixter, in general, I really respect your views. But l would argue that it's a special kind of stupid to not realize that allowing pretty much anyone to buy weapons of war is allowing us to arm terrorists within our own borders. As I argued a couple of pages ago, the organization to which you now belong has absolutely zero interest in keeping arms out of the hands of terrorists. Again, the NRA purports to support gun owners. It really supports gun manufacturers. I believe we ought to be able to protect our lives and our property with firearms, but the NRA is really out of hand. This graphic
