  1. Nope. I figure it out now. Will leave for someone else to answer as I sheepishly walk away from this thread.
  2. Holy crap! I never put it together, but once you posed the question, I recognized it immediately. Harlem 1958. Most of the living jazz greats. Sonny Rollins, who plays the saxophone solo on that song is in the picture. He and Benny Golson are the only 2 musicians from the photo still living.
  3. Good interview. While I'm aware of his talent, I haven't listened to him much. He seems to have his head screwed on straight, thanks to his dad.
  4. It's about time someone went after that rat bastard! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I've probably said this on this forum before, but it bears repeating... I am confounded by the party of Reagan nominating and electing a candidate who cozies up to a Russian dictator.
  6. There's another modern cover from the Paper Towns soundtrack by a band called Kindness. https://open.spotify.com/track/3t6bWEYhEgvSYlLSqW8v4J

  8. Bob Mould - He is consistently gracious to fans. I've spoken with him after many shows. Always very generous with his time and attention. Richard Thompson - Pretty much the same as Bob. Old 97s - Murry, Philip, and Kenneth are very laid back. Rhett was decent enough, but he seemed to spend time with fans begrudgingly.

  10. I only saw a few. All memorable in their own way. Marc Maron in April in Iowa City - Does comedy count. I saw him about a month after my mom died. Great laughs after a shitty month. KISS - Took my 11 year old son. Bucket list. They really know how to do an arena show and push all their fans' buttons. Bob Mould - I used to see him about once a year. First band show I'd seen since 1998. Tremendous fun, especially since I took my pastor and her husband. Jason Isbell - Never disappoints. Such a great show. He pays attention to all the details: sound, lights, set list, connecting to his

  17. Schmilco definitely strikes the proper tone for 2016. Blackstar is a fitting swan song. Others I liked included Flat Five Alejandro Escovedo Helen Money Bob Mould Dawes Iggy Nice as Fuck Sturgill Simpson
  18. I just realized I had no idea whether he was still alive. He is at age 86. That alien probably gave him the secret to immortality.
