  1. Yeah, well, we get Jesus too! Lions hire Scott Linehan, get Jesus on their side Posted by Philip Zaroo | MLive.com January 23, 2009 14:38PM Categories: Breaking News, Top Sports The Detroit Lions hired former St. Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan as their next offensive coordinator. This is a great move. See, Linehan's got solid credentials. He held the same position with the Minnesota Vikings in 2004 when the offense had the most impressive season in team history. And who was the quarterback of that team? That's right – one Daunte Culpepper, who is under contract with the Lions. And h
  2. Great, just when everyone says his shows are awesome he up and quits!
  3. That's a fair statement. I've only seen him twice. And both times I felt like I had wasted money and time on him. So I'm jaded. He makes such great records it just baffles me how sketchy his live act is/was. I would be far more interested in his live shows if he did this to the hecklers:
  4. Oh, you guys. I don't mean any disrespect, or disagree all that much. When I go to a show now I go to see the band and soak up the experience. But when I was 17 or 22 I went to have fun with all the other idiots I stuffed into my Escort. I like to cut the idiots and kids some slack. I think a music message board may be the perfect place to say, sometimes the drunk guy at the Ryan Adams show is more entertaining then the performer.
  5. There are a couple of ways to think about this though. For one, I'm paying that guy to be up there. If it weren't for me an 1500 of my friends he'd be playing open mike night somewhere. And anyone who did pay is there to have a good time and be entertained, not to be scolded (or told stories about eggs). I've been both the asshole at the show and the guy who told the asshole to just go home already. But in the end, they paid their money to get in, they can act however they want. Unless its an acoustic show. I hate that.

  10. The proposition that the people are the best keepers of their own liberties is not true. They are the worst conceivable, they are no keepers at all; they can neither judge, act, think, or will, as a political body. John Adams He only started the country.

  13. I do most of my listening with headphones. What started as necessity ended up being preference. Good quality is a must however. AKG k701 through a Channel Island Audio VHP-1 amp is my outfit.
  14. I'm in the camp of thinking that II may be better than the first. I have several reasons. First, I love the development of Vito from average family man/small business owner to someone who is respected (and feared). I think it comes about not only through his killing the Black Hand but his genuine caring (albeit with a clinched fist) about others in his community. I love the changing relationship between Clemenza and Vito. Clemenza's the tough but eventually respects the smarts of Vito. The scene where he gets the piece of fruit for his wife is beautiful and shows such depth in the chara
