3/4 has already leaked - what reviews are you referring to?
-
ra fanatics - what % of Easy Tiger were older songs from leaked albums? i'm pretty sure a good deal of them were. is 3/4 basically like a double album of Halloweenheads?

Following the Wilco e-mail link to their store I came across, Arabella. Quick search showed no threads dedicated to it. I figured an AD thread would be a good place to ask about a 6 yr old album instead of starting a new thread. First off, I don't remember ever hearing about this being released. What are everyone's thoughts on the album?

Were some of those on the bonus disc that came with Gimme Fiction? I think that had 2 or 3 demos, but I would have to look it up.

bigideas, on 25 October 2010 - 02:46 PM, said: Hard Days Night is the best all around pre-Revolver for me. There are some really interesting chord changes on that album throughout. I have seen a website that was very detailed on their songs from a musical theory standpoint, but not in awhile.

You're right. I think I was confusing it with Help. Luckily, I remember to catch the Lennon/American Masters thing last night. Seems like I had heard a lot of it before, but was cool to see nonetheless. Anyone getting the Best of Apple album? The Pitchfork review made it sound kinda interesting.

put up, sold out, put more up, sold out again...? is the fake sell out one of his marketing plans? i didn't get a cd order in - i just don't know - hard for me to believe that CD's sold out. part of me is afraid there is some crazy bonus like an exclusive 7" though. oh well.
-
i think it sounds nice. the coyote lyrics are weird. stuff is back in stock. i have a feeling he uses "sold out" for sales boosting. someone told he randomly put up a pink 7" last week that was from some art show - already sold out, of course.
-
what? i could maybe understand vinyl selling out, but CD's? he must purposefully not be making many copies. if this really means i can't buy a copy other than mp3 i think this is completely ridiculous.

amazon is listing Dec 14th as the release date.

i saw that, too. was that the first time either of them spoke publicly of their marriage? i also saw some video that looked kinda like a TMZ thing with paparazzi asking them what they were going to be for Halloween. did all that old merch sell out instantaneously?

starting with Vitalogy they strayed away from using some of those sounds/effects that were all the rage (and now date) during the grunge era. I remember how Vitalogy was one of the first records i knew the release date and bought it that day. they released it on vinyl first, which was really weird to me back then. now it has come (spin the black) full circle. No Code sounds like a band recorded live in a room for the most part. i did catch Black randomly on the radio the other day and thought how it was pretty incredible for Ten to be someone's debut album.

there was a song on their third record that was very REM sounding. been too long... one surprising thing - i think meloy has over 1,000,000 twitter followers. i wouldn't guess any of their albums have gone Gold, but i could be wrong. http://www.spin.com/articles/colin-meloy-decemberists-simple-new-album here he says he was listening to the Reckoning reissue a lot and wanted to write a song like that.

wow, never heard Fashion Nugget? Sick of You video: http://www.youtube.com/user/thebandcake

yes, i'm aware of it. i don't seem to like it as much as others do. i don't see it as solid from beginning to end, especially the end like i mentioned above. that doesn't mean i think it sucks by any margin. i just like the interesting chords and sound of HDN better. all original songs, too.

http://cake.hasawebstore.com/ Any fans of the band, Cake? They finally announced the follow-up to 2004's Pressure Chief Showroom of Compassion I got out Prolonging the Magic today. I have never been a fan of Alpha Beta Parking Lot and there is something weird about Never There going transitioning into Guitar, so I was thinking, drop ABPL altogether and switch Guitar to track 6 as so: Prolonging the Magic revised Side 1 1. Satan is My Motor 2. Mexico 3. Never There 4. You Turn the Screws 5. Walk on By 6. Guitar Side 2 7. Sheep Go to Heaven 8. When You Sleep 9. Hem of Your

Yikes, I really hate how this ends the album. I think John even said this song wasn't too great. Hard Days Night is the best all around pre-Revolver for me.

was there anything big on this recent Lennon box? i wouldn't think the remastering part of it would be too big a selling point as there have already been multiple remasters in the 2000's alone i think - and since it was the 70's there is no Mono vs Stereo debate i would think. i was going to buy Double F and Mind Games at Target and get a $5 Target gift card, but they were only selling DF, and Imagine as far as solo albums go. =( were there any true revelations on these bonus disks with demos or had they already been floating around? if there is an in depth review of the box by a real Be

ok. i saw this weekend you can buy them individually on amazon mp3, so i'll probably get them in the future. thanks.

just now looking at the shadow people vid link. didn't know there was a deluxe digital with 3 extra tracks? any good? i bought the cd.

Eels had a song on The Grinch several years before that.

http://www.youtube.com/officialeels I came across his YouTube page. I had no idea he had made so many videos for these last 3 albums. For Blinking Lights I only remember two - one the really cheaply made one.

Swift has been putting up unreleased b-sides on his Tumblr/website. Is there a way to download those tracks?
-
i was around, but only 4 years old. is that radio show thing someone selling bootlegs? how dare they charge $600 + if they don't even own the copyright. i think it was from here that there was a blog who posted them so you could stream and download. they stopped after a while and only posted maybe 10 or so.
-
are a lot of these b-sides? i have most of his records and don't recognize a handful of them.
