  1. I made these a week or two ago: Coconut toasted marshmallows. They are like coconut peeps. Yum.
  2. My daughter, Grace, with a tutu on her head.
  3. Back when I was in high school (way back when...) those old lady butt sign thingies were in everyone's yards around here. A couple of guys went around town and took all of them out of the yards and decorated the lawn of the school with them. They also did it another time with campaign signs and real estate signs. We never had an alarm system on our school until our class pulled the senior prank. We had a key to the school that had been passed down from the class two years before us. The guys used to use it to play basketball in the gym on Sunday nights. Anyways, we went in the school on
  4. Fall On Your Knees was good. The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger was good too. The Feast of Love by Charles Baxter, but I'd get that one in before people see the movie. I don't think the movie is going to do the book justice.
  5. A friend of mine has a son with Asperger's Syndrome and he's obsessed with numbers. He went as the number 100 for Halloween when he was 3. Jason thinks we should send him as Sean Preston Federline but it will be too cold to just let him wear a diaper...
  6. Color a rubber band with a black sharpie and put it around the sprayer so that it will spray if the water is on. Put it back in it's little holder and point it so whoever turns the water on will be sprayed. It's soooo funny when someone doesn't know it's there and gets soaked.
  7. I'm looking for a unique Halloween costume idea for my 19 month old boy. We thought about having him be an iPod, but we aren't set on that. Does anyone have any good ideas? I don't want him to be something boring like all the other kids. I'm not opposed to making his costume, but I'm not creative enough to think of a cool costume.
  8. He was walking by the bra section with his wife, if that tells you anything...
  9. I saw Lloyd Carr at Kohl's tonight.
  10. I've never made it myself. My dad and my grandma used to make it all the time. I think you just cook apples with some cinnamon and mash it all up. It turns out a lot darker than regular store bought applesauce and it tastes way better.
  11. I'd really like to go apple picking. My neighbor went the other day and brought me a ton of apples. I haven't decided if I want to make applesauce or a pie... I'm also looking forward to our town's Fall Festival which is happening next weekend
  12. Damn, Jay, why didn't WE think of making shirts? Those asshats at BWE ruin everything...
  13. Kate, I love those shoes. Now I wish I just had an extra $100 laying around...It's so not fair!!!
  14. Your girls are very lucky to have someone like that in their lives.
  15. It's kind of fun looking through these.
  16. My 9 year old thinks Alton Brown is the man. He's going to set the DVR on his computer to record Good Eats so he can watch it whenever he wants. When he was 5 he liked Emeril and even got one of his cookbooks autographed. Maybe he'll grow up to be a chef or something.
  17. Epilepsy aside, I don't think 11 is too young to be left alone, if you feel your kid is mature enough to handle it. One thing that bothers me though is that the kids were scared to be left home alone. If a kid that age is scared to be home alone, they shouldn't be left. My oldest will probably be 25 before he's not afraid to be left home alone.
  18. Fumes from a non stick pan used with high heat can be even more deadly. I watch Good Eats way too much... Oh, and what's wrong with Diet Coke?
  19. We haven't had any problems either.
