This was tough because you had to like the song but hate the lyrics. Foreigner, for example, has awful music AND lyrics. Here is one I finally came up with: Led Zep's "Candy Store Rock". Love the whole vibe of Presence, and especially Page's groove on this one. But the lyrics make me want to barf.

Santa brought me a Cripple Creek 100 R PLUS banjo for Xmas. It is a pretty fun little instrument. I was already familiar with Open G tuning and travis picking on the guitar, so the transition has not been too difficult. The only thing that is tough is that damn 5th string! I am so used to that bottom string being a bass note!

I agree. In fact, I will offer the opinion that sub-100 dollar guitars do more harm than good. Since they are often hard to play, sound terrible, etc., it discourages many beginning guitarists.

Dogs is a masterpiece of guitar work. Comfortable Numb gets all the attention (deservedly so), but Dogs is Dave's best work.

I agree with that last statement. Those three mentioned are indeed hard to beat (and for different reasons)
