You have to admit we are an amazing city and thats why they should play a four night stand to open the tour up.

Let us all pray for Chicago.

I think your view on "Muzzle of Bees" is incorrect. It is not a long drony song that does not pick up till the end. Instead, I take the Jim O'Rourke theory on songs, it is about enjoying the moment from point A to point. Muzzle of Bees glides and is beautiful in the first four minutes and then has an excellent coda. So be patient when listening to the music and enjoy the moment.

The writer called Pat Sansone a touring member of Wilco. Ouch. I would think Sansone contributes far more than the ignorant writer thinks.

"Be Not So Fearful" by Bill Fay. Hands down. The lyrics and the music are amazing.

I actually have a picture of him at Lollapoolza singing "White Light" with Wilco, but it is not a 12 string. I will post it later tonight.

I still love the Gibson J-45s he has.

Its 62 minutes, but I like the way you think. Also, for Jazz guitarists, I have to go with Derek Bailey for the more liberal side of jazz. I also enjoy Joe Pass (be-bop) and Bucky Pizzarelli (hot jazz), and of course I have to go with Nels Cline because his solos on his records are amazing.

I saw it on pitchfork today. Hopefully, Eno will create amazing albums as he did for David Bowie (The Berlin albums though he did not produce them), Talking Heads, U2 (seirously since Eno left they suck), and thousands of other collborations. Here is the story: Brian Eno Producing New Coldplay Album He will try to fix them In an interview with Kristy Lang on BBC Radio 4's Front Row program today, producer/musician/artist/god Brian Eno revealed that he is producing the next Coldplay album. "I think [the album] will be very original and very different from what they've done before," En

God bless you that is 20 minutes away from where I live. I just Google it and I believe he is playing at Elmhurst College on March 7, 2007. I believe he is a guest musician with the school's percussion assemble.

I'll second that. I love Tom Verlaine on that solo. Its killer. But that whole list is crapt, the only thing good in the top twenty is Chuck Berry and Layla solo, but only because Duane Allman is in the solo. I mean Eddie Van Halen is crapt, he needs to learn the meaning of less is more. What about Neil Young's solo on "Powderfinger" or something by Lee Ranalado and Thurston Moore. or what I think is greatly underated is Ira Kaplan's solo on "I Heard You Looking" from Yo La Tengo's "Painful." Every time I hear him insert chaos and noise into his solo, it sends shivers down my spine. Fi

On the March 16-20 1992 album. Its not the best song Jeff sings on there. I think that title goes to Wait Up.

Fundamentalists don't joke. They are just a bunch of assholes that have to get into everyone's business.

May 2007 is going to be the best month of the year. Seriously, Wilco's new album with Nels Cline on it and then a Nels Cline Singers album. What more could a person ask for?

I have listened to a very cool version of "James Alley Blues" that they did together at a duo show once. It truly was amazing listening to it.

I should be going to that show and I am really psych.

Favorite Wilco Song to NOT make a Wilco album?

Venus Stop the Train, Cars Can't Escape, and for the new album "Is That The Thanks I Get" -
I do not hate him. However, he only did what he did. He never did adapt to the new their new sound on Being There. It is always about the song and Max was not apart of that anymore. I thing the same thing could be said for Ken because he was a great drummer. However, he did not fit into the new sound in YHF. He was unwilling to adapt to their new sound. Jay Bennet while I do like, I think wanted his stamp on YHF. And once a person starts putting their ego into songs, then trouble arises. Basically, an artist needs to serve the song, and none of these guys winded up doing that. But I th

I have had trouble with 11s going out of tune, when using a capo.

They have always been playing rock since they formed. A Ghost Is Born is very much a rock and roll record, Summerteeth is, YHF is, A.M. is, Being There is, all their records are.

Yeah I read the article in the Chicago Tribune on Friday by Greg Kot, which I add was another great piece by him. Really interesting story about the band's leader going through herion addiction and being homeless. On a side note: I love the way Kot wrote in this article, and how he usually does with his Friday columns with artists, frames how music has a huge important impact on our lives. Since within The Chamber Strings article Kot ends it with a quote by the leader saying he stopped himself from committing suicide lots of times by singing a song.

When I first listened to A.M., I only enjoyed the first three songs and Dash 7. However, I love all these songs on here. So bascially like all other Wilco records I can put it on and listen to it from start to finish without having to skip a track. So yeah I love it. Plus, this is how country rock should sound like rather than the shitty Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, or any other mainstream country crapt.

So is "That The Thanks I Get" going on the record because I read in some interviews it is not and on this billboard post it says it is. I really hope it is because the band verison that I heard on Conan last May was killer.
