  1. I just got "On The Beach" and I love "Walk On" expect I am not really digging anything else on it. I mean I love Neil Young and I just bought Massey Hall and I think it is great, but On The Beach has yet to grow on me. I want it too though.
  2. Great point. They read too much Henry Miller.
  3. I thought he said the same exact thing expect for that its something sweet-I think? I'll have to listen to the show again.
  4. Yes, I agree, but I still enjoy Jim Scott and what he did on the previous albums. But I have only listened to the SBS twice, so I really can't make a comment because I only remember bits and pieces since my short term memory is horrible. But yeah, as Tweedy, Kotche, Stirriat, and Leroy mentioned O'Rourke help make YHF what it is especially "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart." And with "A Ghost Is Born" sound, I love it. I feel like I hear the songs actually breath life because its not cluttered full of noise, which might I add that clutters of noise is awesome. Basically, Wilco changes th
  5. I am sort of mad that O'Rourke did not do it, but I think he is busy with his japanesse art films or something like that. But Jim Scott did mix "Kicking Television," "Summerteeth," and part of "Being There," and he has done nice job. However, I still love O'Rourke.
  6. I was talking to a friend and he was thinking because they had a rock act that they would a choose a more electronic act and then a hip-hop act.
  7. Since I have only listened to the new album twice (I only listened to it when Wilco has streamed it) because I am mainly waiting for May 15, I will withhold any new songs. But here's my list and like the first guy I will have a b-sides because it gets in more songs. 1. Pieholden Suite 2. Ashes of American Flags 3. Misunderstood (Live version from Kicking Television) 4. Spiders (Kidsmoke) 5. I Am Trying To Break Your Heart B-sides: 1. Venus Stop The Train 2. Kamera (The Rocking Version) 3. More Like The Moon
  8. It was a $ 160 full price last year; however, that is not including service charges and sending the tickets and tax. You know all that bullshit stuff. And it was three days last year and it was pretty cool expect for the poor sound quality and mixing that occured. On a side note I just bought Pitchfork's tickets and I'm really excited about Sonic Youth on Friday night performing the entire "Daydream Nation" album. It's amazing too live in Chicago.
  9. Alright, more collection I can add of Nels Cline to mine. He is very prolific to say the least, but I can not wait to get the new Nels Cline Singers album, White Out Live because if you check out the YouTube videos with Nels Cline (its amazing), and basically anything else he did.
  10. I think Wilco has achieved something great within Sky Blue Sky and that is their still revelant. They made a great record (though I have only listened to it twice but I throughly enjoy it) and they have changed their style. You can not expect a band to create a YHF, AGIB, BT every time out. It's just not possible because they would be repeating their styles over and over again; which would thus make them lose their revelance. So in short, I think Wilco will and has made amazing records because they do something different every time out, which I believe if they continue to do hop the hurdle of
  11. I'm going with "Love Will Keep Us Together' by Captain and Tenille (not sure if I spelled it right because I am half awake). But possibly, dare I say, not the, but one of the greatest songs ever.
  12. myspace.com/philkronenberg. If you would like a demo, I would be more than happy to send you free of charge one via mail or I could send it through the internet. Let me know what you think. Phil
  13. I was there. I was in the first row on the side of Glenn's drum kit. Truly was amazing time and the clinic in which Glenn talked was awesome. He explained and demonstrated the drum varitaions within I Am Trying To Break Your Heart and he explained how he played Radio Cure. Moreover, he talked about and demonstrated his playing on Monkey Chant. All in all it was awesome.
  14. I've always thought that too.
  15. I think "Reservations" does an excellent job on YHF and so does "In A Future Age" on Summerteeth before "Candy Floss" and the alternate version of "A Shot In The Arm" comes in. But I do love the overall theme of hope within "Sky Blue Sky."
  16. Its not a horrible drive since I am coming from the South West suburbs of Chicago and I have ran on their track when running with York high school over the summer.
  17. Anyone notice that their last leg of their last tour that ended with the Chicago shows in Nov 2006 that they were playing lots of YHF songs. It could have been because they won't be playing some of them again. But I'm excited that they have an even deeper catalog because they can play tons of songs and have different setlists every night which too me is far more exciting than a band doing the same songs from their array of albums. Such bands would be: U2, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and any other old band. Don't get me wrong I love The Rolling Stones and The Who just not U2. Plus, I don't
  18. I like his ones for "Metal Machine Music" and "March 16-20 1992."
  19. Can't wait to see him this Thursday.
  20. If you are talking about him being an average person, then I would say yes. I mean sure he rights great songs and all everything else, but in the end, as Lester Bangs has stated with many famous rockstars: he is just the same as you and me.
