  1. Let us hope that "Hotel Arizona" encounters a similar resurrection.
  2. For solo Tweedy shows, a great place to start is March 4-5, 2005. http://owlandbear.com/downloads/20050305tw...ic_matrix_flac/ http://owlandbear.com/downloads/20050304tw...ic_matrix_flac/
  3. I saw Chad Wackerman play during one of Zappa's last tours. Un. F-ing. Believable.
  4. I've been really getting into "It's Just That Simple" lately.
  5. I love the commentary track when Jeff admits that every single backstage scene is awkward like that.
  6. Does anyone have any idea of how accurate the wikipedia page is with regard to Jeff's pot smoking habits? It seems a little overplayed.
  7. At the risk of sounding too obvious, you might want to search the forums--this topic has come up before. For an occasionally useful discussion of individual songs, you might want to check out http://www.songmeanings.net/. I don't endorse the site, but it can be interesting at times. Also, a google search of "our love is all of god's money" yields some interesting results.
  8. Happy Birthday to the little tyke. I remember seeing his birth certificate in the Wilcoworld photo contest.
  9. Could someone repost the link to the full "album" or PM me with a link? Yousendit is saying "The person who sent you this file has exceeded their download limit." Thanks!
  10. We need to start a "Bring Back Hotel Arizona" website, just like the "Bring Wilco to Ft. Wayne" website! (http://www.bringwilcotofw.com/)
  11. You should listen to Jeff on the Bob Edwards show--he discusses the "meaning" of many of his songs. His take on a cherry ghost is that, when we die, we should hope to leave behind a happy spirit. \
  12. Here's a copy suitable for desktop use: http://www.museon.nl/NR/rdonlyres/44E8449B...anuelPresti.jpg
  13. Whatever bonus they release, I hope it includes rockin' version of "let's not get carried away."
  14. Could someone please please PM me with a link? Thx.
  15. I can't wait until the first review compares "Impossible Germany" to a Grateful Dead tune. Jeff as Bob, Nels as Jerry.
  16. "Kotche, born in 1970 in Chicago, had been playing in bands since junior high school..." Learning How To Die, page 179, second full paragraph.
  17. Great version of "Impossible Germany" from this show.
  18. Any thoughts on whether this torrent or this one (http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=503979) is better?
  19. Yeah, but Ryan Adams is crazy. Nevertheless, after the way Jeff manhandled that dumbass who jumped on the stage last fall, I still might go with Jeff.
