  1. yeh Lets Fight is wicked, and The Good Part, a few other good tunes didnt make SBS
  2. he certainly could do one, very well...but he seems to be enjoying this Wilco alot so i dunno
  3. there was some talk a while back about the follow up to SBS not being far behind, I believe someone on here spoke to John?? any other news on this, or have the band being playing new tunes live or anything??
  4. I just mean people harp on about it all the time. its a good album but not his best in my book
  5. This is gonna sound stupid, but when i read On The Road, i cant help but picture Dean as Mark Everett, i have no idea why but thats who i see in my head
  6. i wish people would get over Heartbreaker, Cold Roses gets my vote, 29 is beautiful too..stick with it
  7. What Light, you must understand these artists who you mention using drugs and making great music were already talented musicians beforehand as Matt said, drugs may colour an artists work but people like Lennon, Cobain, Brian Wilson, Hendrix etc etc were gifted already, and great dispite their drug use not as a result of it and to say it would have been a shame if Elliott cleaned himself up is just idiotic, as much as i like his records i wouldnt wish death apon someone just for my listening pleasure.
  8. im sorry, i wasnt sure where else to post it, is there a forum for peoples own tunes??
  9. are wicked honest www.myspace.com/electricfurs
  10. Living With War, I still dig it Greendale was better though still, stoked for this release
  11. thats a point, and maybe the full 12 mins is a bit much but i dont really treat a show like a product, like im entitled to a certain amount of songs or im not getting my moneys worth or something. its just an experience and i like to be part of it btw, i believe you added me on myspace today?? i like your music
  12. i would love it if they did the full 12 minutes, just for having the balls to do so
  13. here's a tune i recorded today when it was raining its called Endless Summer, English Rain its still raining www.myspace.com/jackjosephmusic
  14. it seems odd that such a big name in amps would want to put so much into Solid state amps, surely they relise it sucks too?
  15. Levon is the best, #1 in my opinion then Ringo and Dennis Wilson
  16. why would you want another YHF, when you already have that album. geez, its almost as bad as Ryan Adams fans and bloody Heartbreaker...get over it
  17. Do Marshall still make Tube Combos? small ones The practice rooms that our band uses have a really nice old marshall 2x12 combo dunno what its called but its all tube and easily the nicest amp ive ever used but it seems to me its all Solid State now
  18. ive only recently started getting into them i have sonic nurse and dirty both great but i like Sonic Nurse more, the guitar playings fantastic and perhaps a little more refined then usual, which in my opinion can be more effective though i might get shot down for saying that where should i go next?? think i might get washing machine after i heard 'The Diamond Sea', just stunning also..am i the only one who secretly wishes Kim didnt sing??
  19. im not sure exactly what bit you're refering to, but if you looking for a smoother lead tone you just wanna use you neck pick up with the tone rolled right off. use that with the fuzz and you should get that cool smooth. clapton kinda tone
  20. cant say enough good things really, on top of getting subtle spring reverb you can completely cake it on for over the top noise making, alot of fun
  21. You Are My Face and Hate It Here so far nice name/avatar Harpon Dodger Will To Love is one of my fav tunes, I always wonder if Tweedy ever heard it and how much an influence it was on YHF what with the random overdubs of piano and drums used to colour the sound
  22. I agree with Bjorn, very Little Feat! the intro to Hell Is Chrome always reminds me of them also, I'd be very suprised if there isnt a few Feat records sitting in tweedys collection
  23. Parkers are Horrid, really...my Uncle had one and within a month had sold it for an ES-335 they just have no vibe whatsoever it feels like a computer game control or some midi guitar rather then a real instrument that you can connect with its like that piece in the Wilco book about the value of less knobs, a great Guitar should be organic and inviting and an extension of yourself while the parkers, especially with those carbon-fibre necks are just cold and lifeless machines
