I'm going to Iceland & Greenland in June. Really looking forward to it.

I never tire of this one.

Been playing this one quite a bit lately.

You'll need to tune your guitar to a C based tuning for this song and use a capo at the 5th fret. guitar tuning low strings to high: 6 = C 5 = G 4 = C 3 = G 2 = B? 1 = C Here's a simplified version of it to get you started: C-------------------- B-------------------- G-------------------- C-----p-------------- G--8-7-5------5------ C--------10-9---7-5--

I haven't seen Jeff walking around but the dad from Arrested Development (Jeffery Tambor) was in front of us at a Whole Foods check out once.

Yeah, I'm sure subconciously the Sharrock pick was inspired by the chaotic guitar solo thread. And, yes, "Ask the Ages" is the one to start with. Such a great record!

I'm with you on that one. I've been looking forward to this release. How is it?

I could see them going with Will Arnett.

Well damn, how about some lotto numbers? Tonights Lotto Max would be a great start.

I love the show and all its irreverent and satirical ways. Definitely one of the few shows I watch religiously.

I ordered the 3rd and the 1st one too. Couldn't find the 2nd one in stock so will have to wait on that one. edit: found the 2nd one at Amazon.com. -
Or maybe "Get Well Soon VCer's with Nothing Better to Do Than Start Inane Threads and Get Worked Up Over Records That Haven't Been Released Yet"

And thanks to you for the heads up on Polnareff. I ordered "Polnareff" as it's available and looks like the best place to start. -

Mavis Staples on CBS News Sunday Morning
GtrPlyr replied to Magnetized's topic in Someone Else's Song
We PVR this show every Sunday. Looking forward to watching it later on. Mavis is a music legend with a long lustrous career and I'd venture that the average viewer of that show knows Mavis better than Jeff, it makes sense that he'd only be mentioned in passing.
