Seems to be back up again.

There's a screen that popped up saying load issues/maintenance. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon. I find the site real buggy for me so I'm used to it .

You're welcome Todd, glad you're enjoying it. It's been fun spinning tunes with you, we had a good mix going yesterday .

Interesting read. Thanks for sharing that Louie.

Pop into the Via Chicago room so we can start spinning tunes Todd.

It's a fun site. See you in there...

Everytime I've checked the ViaChicago room there's nobody in there. I'm gonna pop in now and hope someone jumps in.

1. Bought AM shortly after it came out. I thought it was alright, but nothing special. It wasn't until Being There that the band clicked for me. 2. Going by WilcoBase I first saw Wilco June 20, 2003.

So it's a I-IV-V chord progression, probably the most used in rock and roll. Without some lyrical bits or more info this one is gonna be hard to figure out.
-
They probably ignored The Band as they were 80% Canadian. Otherwise they'd belong in the top 5 for sure.

I'd been wanting a pedal steel for years, finally took the plunge earlier this year. Love it! Naturally it sounds good in a country setting, but I've been finding it very useful on some of the rock/power pop songs I've been working on. I could never find a sitar in any of my local music stores. I did find an Indian music store in my city that sold them but they were back-ordered for a few months so I ended up buying one online from these guys: http://www.tablasitar.com/buy-sitar-c-50.html Delivery was fast and free. Funnily it came gift wrapped. Considering the size and shape of a sitar

Funkadelic should have been in the top 10, sadly didn't even make that list. I didn't see Pavement on the list either, would have put them on there as well.

I posted some pictures of my old home studio setup a while back, here's the latest incarnation (gone is the analog 8-track, finally had to go digital):

It's a pretty great venue with good sightlines and it's one of the most storied concert halls in Toronto. Looking forward to seeing at least one of these shows.

That's pretty cool. I noticed that blog is done by a guy named Bob Egan. Wonder if it's the ex-Wilco/Blue Rodeo guy.

Speaking of "September Gurls" covers, here's a recent one done by the Dum Dum Girls: http://www.avclub.com/articles/dum-dum-girls-cover-big-star,53070/ Also have to throw in a version from The Replacements: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvtVH2anf8c

Yeah, I preferred the previous title a lot more than this one. Despite the meaning behind the new title it still seems like an uninspired choice. Change the "l" in Whole to an "r" and we have a better title already.

I watched that one about 3 weeks ago. Like you I hadn't seen it since the 80s. Fun film, often quite cheesy, but somehow it remains entertaining. The musician cameos definitely add to the charm, and Debbie Harry was darn sexy back then.

This. Love them both too much to chose.
