  1. I loved him as Columbo, he also did some great film work, particularly liked what he did with John Cassavetes.
  2. Amiina - Puzzle Picked this CD up during my Iceland trip after reading about the band in some local magazine. Glad I did, cool songs and interesting instrumentation.
  3. Thanks! I've been meaning to check out this band, think I'll start with this one.
  4. Yeah, I guess it was. I should have used "able" instead. Don't want to imply that God or whatever took him out, especially being an atheist and all.
  5. I just heard about this, what a shame. His last record was pretty great, too bad he wasn't allowed to continue his comeback.
  6. That's the song that first popped into my head upon seeing that.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmlhDePSP1A And speaking of the Mac I'd also add "Landslide" to the list.

  9. Michael Chapman - Fully Qualified Survivor
  10. Yes, this should pretty much be the guiding rule. You probably don't want to get too tied up with what's the "right" way to do things as this can lead to boring and predictable horn parts.
  11. My girlfriends sister had 2 cats and a dog that co-existed nicely for years. Then suddenly one day one of the cats stated to terrorize the dog and cat. She would have the two of them cowering in a corner of a room. Eventually she decided she needed to get rid of this cat so the other 2 animals could have some peace. My girlfriend and I said we'd take her in and give it a go. At first she took a while getting settled, and she tried to scare away our other cat, but that cat is the most laid back and fearless cat I've ever seen and he didn't blink when she'd hiss and attempt to scare him off. 15. Most pro studios these days record at 96/24, even people like me with small home studios pretty much use that setting. It's about time more companies get around to releasing stuff at this rate instead of compressing down to 44.1/16. I've seen a few artists releasing internet records giving the 96/24 option, or an 88.2/24 option. I've also seen a lot of people on bit-torrent sites--for a few years now--uploading vinyl to digital transfers in 96/24. So as usual the record companies are behind the public.
  16. It's a collection of Harry's final studio recordings that were never released. The disc is part of a 22 disc bootleg set of Harry's unreleased and out-of-print recordings. You can get the download link from here: http://fortheloveofharry.blogspot.com/
  17. So happy to hear a new one is on the way. It's been a while, but at least shes kept busy with tons of guest appearances on other peoples records.
  18. We're flying from Reykjavik to Kulusuk, Greenland (2hrs.) We're in Iceland for two weeks, only one day in Greenland unfortunately. If we had another week it would have been great to tack on a week in Greenland.
