Neil has the power to make any song sound more important than it is, it's all in the delivery . I must say that Fallon did one of the best Neil impersonations I've ever heard. p.s. I haven't been watching any of the late night talk shows too much lately, but when I do I find myself enjoying Fallon's more than Conan or Letterman. He's getting better as the months go on.

I know a few people that find him too annoying to watch the show, and I get that totally. He's not an easy character to watch, though he is for me . I find Larry's excessive pettiness and opposition to a lot of social etiquette's to be one of the biggest reasons to watch the show. A lot of times I find his qualms are actually right but somehow things always get turned around on him. Of course the show relies on the classic misunderstanding scenario to get a lot of their laughs, but at least they do it in an intelligent way.

I've been working my way through all the seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm over the past few weeks. I'd seen seasons 1-3 already, but it had been years so I started from the beginning. I'd almost forgotten how funny and clever this show is. The way they connect the various storylines in each episode is a thing of beauty, or as Larry would say it's: "Pret-tay, pret-tay, pret-tay good!"

^ Yeah, the Bear Family has put out tons of great stuff. I have some wonderful box sets from them: George Jones, Jerry Lee Lewis, Wanda Jackson, Merle Haggard, Rose Maddox... They are definitely one of the best labels--if not the best--for old-time Country and Rock and Roll.

I have a few similar CD shelving units to the one above in my living room: Sadly this isn't even all my CDs, and I won't even go into all the bootlegs and downloaded [FLAC] CDs I have elsewhere .

I've been encouraging my girlfriend to stop buying whole records on iTunes and just get the CD for a while now, especially as the difference between the two, particularly for new stuff is no more than $2-4. I use the argument that iTunes gives you a compressed version of the record with no artwork, but buying the CD gives you the full audio and artwork, plus you can put it on your iPod. Win-win. She agrees, but I think the lure of the "instant gratification" download is still hard for her to give up .

What he said. I think die hard music fans are always going to be buying LPs, CDs, or whatever media format we'll have in the future. Nothing beats having a full audio version of a record with artwork.

I was watching the Alan Cross show the other day on Aux, and he mentioned that Anvil recently headlined the same festival in Japan that they play at the end of the movie. I also saw them on The Tonight Show a month or so back. It's really amazing what this film has done for them.
