Inspired by the recent Beatles reissues, I pulled this one off the shelf:

We used to cover this song in a band I was in many moons ago. It was always a fun one to play, and got the crowds going every time.

Kanye seems more like an egomaniacal douchebag to me, but jackass is acceptable too. -

For sure, and that's not even counting all the Mary Jane references in lyrics. Springsteen alone has probably used that name a dozen or so times in his lyrics. Runner-up might go to Sally.

I'd agree on all those points, including the cute as hell part. Having said that, I do like her voice, and "I'm Sorry Huston" was probably one of my favorite tracks from the last disc. I'd be happy if she can add 2-3 solid tunes for the new one. I think having her songs on their records gives the music a more varied sound and a nice break from the guys singing.

We listened to some of this while driving home from a friends cottage on Sunday. It was a fairly predictable list, nevertheless it was nice to hear some long gone Canadian bands like the Killjoys.

I've never seen them live, but I've seen numerous TV and DVD live performances, and all have been very impressive. These guys set a standard in their live shows that is pretty hard to match for almost every other band going right now.

I didn't even realize he had a new one. Cool! I'm sure you're going to find lots to love in his back catalog :

Love those songs too. O, Dana is another good one. Other than a few of the bonus tracks at the end of the Rykodisc edition, everything on it is pretty essential to me.

I don't play that one as much as the first two records, but some days I swear it's the best thing they've ever put out. It's dark, uncompromising, eclectic and a bit of a mess; and those are just a few of the reasons why I love it. The best songs on it, Kangaroo, Thank You Friends, Jesus Christ, Stroke It Noel, Holocaust, are as good as anything they've ever put out, and the arrangements and production on the record are more nuanced and sophisticated than their previous work. Unlike the first two, this one is best listened to at night with a pair of headphones (which I'm actually doing right n

Damn, I forgot to submit a list. Thanks for compiling that Mike. A lot of those would have made my list for sure.

One of my all-time favorite bands. I still play the hell out of those first 3 records. Really looking forward to the upcoming box set.

Apparently that's going to be playing at the upcoming Toronto film fest, and ol' Neil is going to be there. Think I will have to check it out.

As long as Wilco continues to follow their muse and do what THEY want, I know I have no business complaining.

That squirrel is getting a lot of attention lately .
