  1. of course! Always got a kick out that video. GE Smith as the granny playing the guitar solo is fantastic.
  2. My mom makes these stuffed mushrooms that are to die for. Additionally, the stuffing she cooks varies from year to year, but it is always outrageous at the very least. I proudly mash the mashed potatoes in honor of my stepbrother who isn't around to mash them anymore. Other than that, my main responsibility is to eat what is served!
  3. Yes sir, and heaven forbid we should forget the Andy Summers Tribute Fender Telecaster
  4. Or you can get the Joe Strummer tribute Fender Telecaster (based painstakingly on his main guitar) for $899 list. Might not be made in usa, but it's one us little people can afford! http://www.fender.com/joestrummer/
  5. "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" - Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell 2:28 "God Only Knows" - Beach Boys 2:51 "Dancing in the Street" - Martha and the Vandellas 2:40 "My Girl" The Temptations 2:45 (although the magnificent mono version comes in at 2:57) "Wonderful World" - Sam Cooke 2:08 (does it ALL in just over 2... no fluff, no BS!) "Candy" - The Astors 3:02 "(I've Got A Feeling) You're Gonna Be Sorry" - Billy Butler & The Enchanters 2:20
  6. We'll be dining at the George Mann Tory Tavern in the historic Schoharie Valley, and then heading back to the Acreage to light a fire.
  7. A quasi-platoon of Torrealba and Castro might be quite good. I'm glad they didn't trade for a catcher. We need the prospects for a potential trade for a solid frontline pitcher. You're totally right, Graham... he looks like he's been downing as many post-game whoopie pies as Miguel Cabrera and Bartolo Colon.
  8. Bring that 160mph fastball, Sidd! Come on back to the Mets!
  9. Just another example of just how important that walk year is. Can you imagine if Andruw Jones did what he did in '05 or '06 in '07 instead? He'd be all we're hearing about.
  10. We're up to Action Card #7 already! A full set (in mint condition no less!) has your name on it.
  11. I miss Chicago. Gotta get back sometime real soon
  12. Forgive me if this has been posted (I did a quick search and didn't come across anything, but...) The Japanese Kaguya Orbiter is sending back images of The Moon in hi-definition... it's breathtaking. http://www.jaxa.jp/press/2007/11/20071107_...ya_movie_e.html
  13. Wow, perhaps the days of Boras being such a power player may be over. Good riddance, frankly. If any of this is true, I'm glad that A-Rod has decided to not be led around on a leash by Boras like he has his entire career.
  14. I seem to be there through no fault of my own http://wc07.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&...dvfyxq9gldae~T3
  15. I've got a album of him and the Brazos Valley Boys live in Las Vegas that I'll be putting on today. Cancer is mighty mighty scary.
  16. Was sad to hear about Hank Thompson. Rest in peace, sir. Hey Mr. Bartender Please don't be so slow I've got time for one more round And a six-pack to go Tomorrow morning's Sunday I'm gonna be feeling low So please Mr. Bartender I need a six-pack to go I've been drinkin' all day long taking in the town I done spent my whole paycheck Just honky-tonkin' 'round I ain't got enough dough to pay my rent But I won't worry though I've got time for one more round And a six-pack to go
  17. That must've been a lot of fun. Nothing like a full day of baseball. There is the odd exception in NYC as well... always a buzz in town on the rare occasion when one team has a day game and the other is playing at night. What was really cool was when they were playing each other in interleague play a few years back, and they had a day/night doubleheader... the day game at Shea Stadium and the night game at Yankee Stadium.
