I really like the first half of the album on first listen, but the second half might take longer. Definitely love Nude, Arpeggi, and All I Need on first listen. It seems more cohesive than HTTT and definitely a short album. Oh well, have to wait til the boxset thing comes out to hear the second disc

Hey friends - I just returned from a summer internship abroad where I had little to no access to the internet or western (as in, part of the world) music. Please recommend some stuff that has come out in the past two months or so. I bought the new white stripes and ryan adams yesterday, but I'm looking for more. I thought Get Behind me Satan was pretty cool, but I never liked anything before it. I certainly don't think his melodies are anything to write home about, but the music is pretty good. I agree there is hype, but I'd rather see a band like this hyped than any number of artists currently out there (e.g. any American Idoler).
