I had that problem when I hooked mine up to our stereo system - it was because dolby was turned on. That might not be the problem with yours...I'd check to see if the preamp is turned on in the record player or you might need an external one. What kind of record player is it?

I'm going to DC in March as well and definitely want to hit up some historical sites - Mount Vernon, Ford's Theater, etc. Can anyone suggest some cool historical homes to tour or old pubs, etc? I'm a history buff. Thanks...

I love On & On & On - it's all about the lyrics - I'm sure the music has seen some reworking. Also, I really hope You Are My Face is a new tune - LNGCA is a bit contrived imo - I'm REALLY glad Patient With Me is on there. Love that song.
