  1. Huh, really? It falls short of Eggs for me (but that is one of my all time favortite albums so I don't expect him to EVER match that), but I think it's much better than Armchair. Armchair felt like it was written on the fly while playing with his looper. This one feels like "real" compositions (for lack of a better description).
  2. So I'm really digging this. I know beggars shouldn't be choosers, but I was wondering if anyone has heard the "bonus disc" with Glenn?
  3. I would not draft a QB if I were a GM. I might take a flyer on a QB in a late round and hope for a Tom Brady-like story). But drafting a QB in high rounds has low ROI historically. I'd draft for the lines and acquire a QB in free agency. I would, under no circumstances, draft Tebow. I don't think his talents will translate to the NFL (not exactly a unique position, I know) and even if drafted in the sixth round, his high-profile will create a QB controversy in the public's eye.
  4. Yeah, where? I didn't! Me too! Me TOO!
  5. I am generally not a fan of these lists (except my own), but "Dear Science," is the #1 album of 2008 according to Rolling Stone and Spin and #2 according NME.
  6. I've never seen AB totally solo, but I liked the addition of Jeremy more than when it's been just Bird and Dosh. But I am hoping the addition of even more instruments will limit Bird's use of loops which, to me, while an impressive feat, limits the range of the performance.
  7. Are you asking or telling? Last time I saw him (which I swear is more recently than 18 months) he had a bass player and Dosh. That's it. I've heard in '09 he will have a FULL band.
  8. One of my better half's favorites and I had never seen it. I liked it a lot, but it's not amongst my favorites (and she's okay with that ).
  9. I'm with you too. I have heard there are plans for the '09 tour to have a full band, though. That may change my mind. Loop-y AB is a novelty that wears thin fast, IMO.
  10. Does anyone else feel like the last few months of '08 have been slow? Overall a good year though not as good as '07 IMO. 1. Feel Good Ghosts (Tea-Partying Through Tornadoes) - Cloud Cult 2. 13. Christmas is June 17th! (coincidentally, i guess I am getting married on Christmas Eve).
  14. So if you hold up your iPhone to a speaker playing Satriani's song and "Shazam" it, will it come up with Coldplay?
