Exactly, and it will leave behind a giant black hole of Rock.

I know that he can do more, but come on.. Shake it off? Hate it Here? Pretty kick ass IMO..
  3. Well yes.. Its a completely meaningless game.. It doesn't count in their conferences, it's basically just a exhibition game. All it does is give the winning team a year of bragging rights. And you won't be saying Clemson who after they win the ACC title this year. Shit.. I jinxed them..

I think you are going to get your wish. I have heard it several times by John and Jeff that they are going to go crazy with this album, with the layers, effects, the trickery, and with their current line up, it will be so great that the universe will explode.

    One wing

Yeah, I was a little disappointed that they didn't play it in Charleston.
  6. One thing that I have always admired about Portishead is their uniqueness, and that certainly hasn't changed with their latest album. I was just going to say "maybe I don't like their last album as much as the others because I don't really listen to that kind of music as much as I used to" but I realized that Portishead doesn't fall into any catagory. They are their own catagory.
  7. Yeah, reminds me of a saying at Clemson "If we beat South Carlolina, but lose every other game, it's still a great season"
  8. Yeah, this is definitely only talking about the Northeast.. Midwesterners are just as serious as Southern football fans. OSU fans are VERY serious about their football. I watched an entire documentery on OSU football. I thought the Clemson/South Carolina rivalry was big, it's nothing compared to OSU/Michigan.
  9. Great thread. If they were going to do a Wilco song, I'd say "Far Far Away".. For some reason it's the first song that popped in my head. Can you imagine Neil singing one of the versus? As for a Neil song, I'd say "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)" because it just rocks.
  10. This is great, and very true from my experience. I can relate to alot of this going to Clemson games my whole life. I know some people that went up to Boston College when Clemson played them up there two years ago. You could only tailgate 1 hour before and 1 hour after the game. They piped in crowd noise during the game because the home crowd was so quiet!
  11. I coudn't agree more. He's one of those commedians that not everyone understands which has left him under appreciated. He should do more stand-up. "Turd Ferguson"
  12. Come on Neil. Old Ronnie wasn't speaking for the entire South when he said "Well, I hope Neil Young will remember, A Southern man don't need him around anyhow" Come play down here!
  13. Once again, yes it is that good.
  14. That's about what I expected.. I'm too lazy to read the article, but I'm sure it has some Nickelback on there.
  15. That's gotta hurt The New York Times credibility.
  16. Wow. I guess we'll see if it's a hoax or not after they show it off today.
  17. Mine is Mr. Wes Montgomery - The greatest Jazz guitarist that ever lived. My sons middle name is Wesley, named after him.
  18. Once again, you have made me spit coffee on my monitor.
  19. I wouldn't go as far as to say the album sucks, but it's definitely not as good as their old stuff. But "The Rip" and "Plastic" are bad ass tunes.. I don't care too much for "We Carry On".. The high pitched drone gives me a headache. The rest of the album is mediocre. Compared to their self-titled album where every single song is excellent, this album is definitely weak.
  20. Yeah, by the first encore I was practically pressed against the stage with stalkers. That's ok though because everyone was dancing and having a great time (including myself) and that was my favorite part of the show. Don't get me wrong, the show was amazing and the band was in great spirits, but the general mood earlier in the show wasnt quite as happy as it was in Charlotte.
  21. So it actually is your birthday? Have a good one buddy.
  22. Yeah, there were some talkers, some drunks, and just flat out rude people at Charleston.. I don't remember it being that way in Charlotte though last year. There was just a very happy atmosphere. It's funny how the mood is different at each show. Maybe the bad mood at Charleston had something to do with the re-schedule? But I think it was mostly the drunk asshole who told the band to turn up.
  23. Ah, so it's an illusion. Great info Analog.
