  1. http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/41731-2010-nw-ustrans-canada-tour-announcement-coming-soon/ Nomis: I did a very quick search and found 2 regular VC'ers (auctioneer69 and SeattleC) talk about Portland tickets in this thread. You possibly could find more people with a close review. Send them a private message and ask for their help. They may have ordered presale tix and perhaps they don't say "Ticketmaster" on them, but those VC'ers may have friends who ordered Wilco tix from Ticketmaster and hopefully would offer to help you. Good luck!
  2. According to FrontGate Tickets: March 22nd, 2010 The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater - Miami, FL Tickets: $36.50 Seating: Gen Adm Floor / Reserved Mezzanine Doors 7:30pm / Show 8:30pm
  3. there is a pinned topic above that tells all about frontgate Congrats to Florida for finally getting some shows!
  4. Good work! They fixed it. Clearwater is March 23 And I fixed Josephine's post as well.
  5. Thanks - like I said, I'm out of the loop on new music lately, so that's why I looked through the entire Dec and Nov 2009 Now Playing threads, and saw it mentioned twice but no one identified it. So I gave up. I guess I needed to look further back. Well, at any rate I'm glad to know what it is, thanks guys. I have not heard it. Like I said, I'm out of the loop and trying to take steps to get caught up (and at this rate ... ). I probably should read the "what have I missed" thread and "best of 2009" thread for help.
  6. what is it? i'm out of the loop in the NP thread and don't recognize the cover art.
  7. Happy New Year! This arrived a few days ago along with a little bonus EP. Yay! Plus this, something to watch and listen:
  8. If I lived in Milwaukee, I'd go to this show. Sounds fun. Please report back with the setlist - I'm interested to know what covers Spoon does, since NYE is a good night for cover songs. Have fun!
  9. So what's this about a 4th group mentioned in the comments section of that Chicagoist article? I'm so confused. But happy. And sad. And tired. Still grinning. But Hmmmm, confused about the future. Besides Jeff's set which has already been discussed here, I have to say John Darnielle just blew me away. He is talented in so many ways - singer/songwriter/musician/guitarist/ pianist/comedian/story-teller - there wasn't a dull moment in his set. He returned for more after a standing ovation and loud cheering brought him back on stage, but this time he went to the piano for another
  10. I first used this method for the Tom Waits show in Columbus, OH. It worked beautifully. No scalpers. You can get ticketmaster gift certificates, I think. But I hear what you're saying about the situation you're in. I wonder why they didn't warn you before purchasing them that they were paperless tickets? I seem to recall for Tom Waits it was well pointed out that they were paperless tickets before you got to the purchasing point.
  11. Like usual, I have to listen to "Harvest Moon" twice. Thanks for this link!
  12. ... and I got suckered in as well. I think we were all hoping for Black Friday vinyl bargains. Title fixed.
  13. No, I didn't. But cool! Nice lineup.
  14. A very nice short set - Calexico performing July 7, 2007 at the Rheinkultur Festival in Bonn, Germany. Streaming courtesy of German WDR TV Rockpalast. (A lot of other videos can be seen there, too.) It's a multi-camera video and sort of heavily edited with rapid-fire view changes (I just stop watching and listen when they do that, bad editing IMO) ... but for those of us who might be missing a live Calexico right about now (okay, maybe it's only me ) I'm posting it anyway. http://www.wdr.de/tv/rockpalast/extra/videos/2007/0707/calexico.jsp Scout Frontera / Trigger Across The Wire
  15. Oh, I wanted to see Neko with the two Calexico guys so badly but it turned out they were not opening for her in Indianapolis, instead we got Jason Lytle who was good but I was sad about it not being Joey & John. So thanks for the photos. I was glad in that thread where you list your 10 favorite artist from the last 10 years to see you included Calexico. So would I. (Well, that is, if I was a list-maker type person.) On a final and insignificant note ... I'm not a fan of the moustache.
  16. Enjoy your birthday Brianne ... wherever you are!
  17. http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/42252-wilco-161109-amsterdam-the-netherlands/ Head over here for more discussion and a bbop-confirmed setlist just trying to resolve the confusion.
