  1. Looking forward to this. This live show from KCRW showed up on my FB feed today, lots of new songs live with a string quartet + more! (plus they played one oldie - one of my favorite songs "Sinner" from his solo album Try Whistling This ... )
  2. As one of my favorite albums of late, I'm gonna have to go for this deluxe edition.
  3. Love Eef Barzelay. His solo shows are worth every effort to witness. http://www.yorkmix.com/things-to-do/reviews/review-can-eef-barzelay-live-up-to-the-hype/

  5. First listen on NPR to Dismemberment Plan's "Uncanny Valley" http://www.npr.org/2013/10/06/228466114/first-listen-the-dismemberment-plan-uncanney-valley
  6. http://expressobeans.com/ Try Expresso Beans forum for poster collections. I've been successful there before but don't expect overnight success, as it might take a while for someone to part with their poster, but it's definitely a good source for finding your hard-to-find poster, or at least letting it be known you are "in search of." Good luck! Edited to add: I did notice someone there is looking for this poster (maybe it's you, I dunno), but it is a really cool poster.
  7. Can listen to a snippet here. Love it! http://snd.sc/1aArn8B And if anyone can tell me how to embed it to this board, I'd be forever grateful. I'm done fooling around with it for now. Very confused! hahaha Oh - and if you want to bid, you'll find them all listed here: http://www.ebay.com/usr/newwestauction
  8. I'm with you on this. Love Jeff solo. I won't miss the Chicago charity shows at the Vic each spring. The Largo run should be amazing! Lucky SoCal peeps! I hope a DVD will evolve!
  9. My friend Arlene spotted this earlier today: Seattle Dec 8th at the Moore Theatre https://www.songkick.com/concerts/17806989-jeff-tweedy-at-moore-theatre
  10. I'm late to the game on Laura Marling.
  11. Tracy, my condolences to you at this difficult time. Take comfort in the caring love of friends and family.
  12. I never knew who he was. Pretty fascinating life.
  13. Woah, that is fast! Thanks for the link to the song, Anthony.
  14. They are also selling a book as part of this 36% off deal, and one reviewer mentions "This isn't really a great deal. You can get the CD box set for $79.35 on deepdiscount.com and the book is $20 on Amazon.com so $106.98 is no bargain." But it does put the "remaster" question to rest. Thanks for that link calvino!
  15. Do any of you Harry Nilsson fans know if these are remastered? And if so, how these versions compare sound-quality-wise with the remastered releases done in 2007 or 2008 by BMG Japan in the obi mini-sleeve box set? They were a little expensive, but over the years I got almost all of them and they sound fantastic (to my ears anyway). They also have a lot of extra tracks with demos with just voice and piano. I love them. Yeah, finances may direct my decision to only buy the extras. I didn't know they were available separately. Gotta look into this.
  16. Woah dude! Fantastic news! Good luck on your continued efforts to get the movie to Criterion!
  17. You are back with gusto! Glad to see ya!

  19. Andrew Cedermark - Home Life Might have to pick this one up when it's released ... listening to the "First Listen" stream at NPR http://www.npr.org/2013/07/07/199049865/first-listen-andrew-cedermark-home-life
  20. Yes, I think you are overly sensitive. Considering you have never experienced a LR show, it's hard to take seriously your comments of "this is unfortunate" and "rude to Jeff" and "extremely self entitled" and "this does not reflect well on those attending." Wow. We have a blast during the living room shows, and there is an ongoing "try to stump Jeff" by a few fantastic Wilco/Tweedy fans. It's part of the fun, and Jeff has no problems with this. YOU may find that uncomfortable, and I'm just saying, it's YOU. Jeff doesn't care what we request because he plays what he feels like anyway.
