  1. Oh ... I wish!!! Enjoy, and I hope you fill us in on the awesomeness afterwards!
  2. Too sad for sure. Age 39? Way, way too young. He was so gifted. RIP Jason Molina.
  3. He definitely tours a lot -- I think the last time I saw him was with Joe Boyd at the Old Town doing this kind of thing (link below). Couldn't get enough, so I stayed for the second show which promised (and delivered) all different songs and stories. Amazing. Maybe you were there ? (memory fails me). http://www.npr.org/event/music/137702245/joe-boyd-and-robyn-hitchcock-tiny-desk-concert
  4. "I could be Bryan Ferry, but I'm not. It's me again .... " Gotta love Robyn Hitchcock Never a dull moment. Can't wait for him to tour again, hope he visits The Ark at Ann Arbor or Evanston's Space, or the Old Town School of Folk, etc.
  5. The song "Missing" --- love love love this! But I'm a sucker for a song in minor key.
  6. Sorry folks that pinning the new month of "now listening" is so late, I have been away tending to my 84-year-old mother who has been in the hospital and then home with back surgery. For punishment on this egregious oversight, I will take no moderator pay for this month, and you will all be given FREE Via Chicago membership for the month of February! Again, my apologies.
  7. This is cool ... thanks! I'm not a big collector of live shows, but was in the mood to hear "Mr. Soul/Broken Arrow" from the South Bend, IN show, and there it was! On my iPhone! Voila!
  8. Oh, good! Looking forward to this as always!!! Thanks Susan and Jeff!
  9. http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/video/yo-la-tengo-ill-be-around-11513/1428773/ "I'll Be Around" on Fallon
  10. Love the new-ish sound with addition of keyboards and acoustic guitar. Gotta watch for a tour, it's been a long time since I've seen them.
  11. Bbop has it right. Pretty amazing all around!
  12. Cool! I always look forward to getting out the Christmas album by Low each holiday season. Mimi's voice is so beautiful especially on this song.
  13. 01-29 Louisville, KY - Brown * * with Calexico Very well might be roadtripworthy. PS, this song is so so pretty!
  14. Try Expresso Beans forum for poster collections. I've been successful there before but don't expect overnight success, as it might take a while for someone to part with their poster, but it's definitely a good source for finding your hard-to-find poster. http://www.expressobeans.com/
  15. FYI, the board is going to take on some maintenance this weekend, so everyone go do something fun! I'm working, then making some jalapeno cheese cornbread and taking it to a fall outdoor party!
  16. Good grief, Mr. Adams! Are you trying to make the little kids cry???
  17. Why, that would be very distracting to me. I'm glad US radio DJ's don't do that.
  18. Shot in the Arm sounds fantastic!!!
  19. Thanks! I really like Jason Lytle, and I've been in a music "slump" of sorts lately, so this is especially good news.
  20. Wow, now this is a week to remember! I'm so bummed to miss Peter Gabriel this time around, with the "So" album being played in full.
  21. It's been 4 years since the last new Calexico album, so hot damn! I really do love this band. And I'm loving this album. *swoon* You can hear all songs from this album in their entirety at Amazon's Calexico page. I think this is the link. It's $9.99 right now, but fangirl that I am, mine is on preorder from the band, should get it next week. http://www.amazon.co...=ac_dpt_sa_link
  22. Loved hearing "Crystal Blue Persuasion" finally!
  23. Haven't listened to this in way too long. Mostly because I couldn't find my disc! So I ordered another from Wilcoworld (because I had to buy that popeye t-shirt! Love that!)
