  8. We get a lot of questions about Chicago from out-of-towners, so we started (and pinned) this thread about Chicago that is so packed full of info, it may take you some time to review. Luckily, you have plenty of time to skim through it to find any pertinent commentary on hotels. But you'll learn a whole lot more, too, which will make your 4 days in Chicago that much more fantastic. Enjoy! http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/35877-going-to-chicagowhat-to-do-see-stay-etc/
  9. "Monday Morning" written by Lindsey Buckingham for Buckingham Nicks, later appears on Fleetwood Mac album.
  10. I enjoyed The Low Anthem's version. Thank you, dmhphoto, for reminding me they are opening for Iron & Wine, as I'm seeing them too, and have not yet listened to any of their songs. Just an observation -- that Starbucks ad music was really bad.
  11. I've moved the recent posts regarding Wilcobase over to the Wilcobase thread here: http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/1377-wilcobasecom/ To continue discussing "wilcoexaminer" though, post here in this thread. Thanks. Just spring cleaning!
  12. Fantastic review! As always. Thank you Paul. Any show with Pieholden Suite is a winner in my book. Any Skyflynn & Amy spotting?
  13. There's a lot of people who fly into Chicago each year from all over the US & Canada to be part of a living room show group. But you from Australia will certainly top them all for distance travelled! And yes it's possible for anyone to be in a group if they want to. Probably the best way to get into a group is from a friend-referral. Do you know anybody that is already in a regular group? If so, contact them. There are usually the same 3 groups that win -- and we're all different in configuration and openings for newbies. 1. Hotel SnS group, usually the same 30 great friends r
  14. I could not be happier about this Neil Finn news.

  19. Mavis Staples' website lists her as performing at Levon's Midnight Ramble June 3 (Friday?) in Woodstock NY. This is the same weekend as the Mountain Jam Festival so there will be untold numbers of amazing musicians in the Woodstock area. This could be a most epic Ramble. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1Ah7tVDlSk&feature=related
