  1. yeah, like a centipede. Same leg over and over and over. I'm really getting tired of it.
  2. Love your picutres, newslang. I really love how you got so many of the band members in each shot. I don't see that in a lot of Wilco stage pictures. Sounds like another excellent show!
  3. I hate it when that happens, because your friends should be excited for you and want to hear all about it. But don't be too surprised that your fellow VC'ers are all over this one -- I have to confess that I read it twice!
  4. http://www.sonyclassics.com/loveliza/flash.html# I guess the trailer isn't there anymore. But you can hear a few snippets of music.
  5. :lol I nominate this as "Post of the Day!"
  6. They did an encore in Detroit. He is back to playing electric? Oh, darn! I wanted to see him one more time acoustic. That was a freakin beautiful show in Detroit. Oh well, I can deal with it.
  7. yep -- and I just finished listening. I think it's beautiful, but I freakin LOVE this band so maybe I'm not very objective. I'm hoping they flesh some of these tunes out for a full band thing. But at any rate, this is really lovely and haunting and moody Calexico stripped down a bit, like I said, no Joey Burns vocals and none of the other Calexico guys -- only John and Joey. But I dig this whole vibe. And on the Touch & Go website, they have a gig on November 3 in Tucson with Los Lobos at Reid Park. I need to go to Tucson (summer's not really such a good time for that!) and so
  8. Just got this in the mail today: I loves me some Calexico even if Joey Burns is not singing on this one. http://www.casadecalexico.com/index.php Tool Box: John Convertino - drums, vibes, piano, glockenspiel, percussion Joey Burns - guitar, upright bass, piano, accordion, cello, waylacho, cuatro, banjo
  9. I'm only even vaguely aware of who you are.
  10. Hang on while I check your IP ...
  11. Mike, I just merged your posts with this old one -- hopefully someone will have some answers for you.
  12. wilcohead: you really cannot expect an answer in that short of time. This is a message board, not a chat room. I can relate that you are worried about your tickets arriving in time. This is what MusicToday says about their ticket orders: You should contact Music Today if you have not received your Denver tickets 1 week prior to the event. Dig up your copy of the ticket order and provide them the order details.
  13. Kalle, have a wonderful time at the show! I'm looking forward to your review!
  14. Fine - start over here. Or talk in the thread LouieB has open about it I only closed THAT thread. It was WAY out of control, IMO. Kevin, you were staying on topic. So go for it. Keep up the good work.
  15. OK, so we've had the ongoing (ad nauseum I might add) VW Ad Campaign controversey, alias posters, people spoofing other people, deleted posts, Jesus complexes, and angry emailers. I think we're done here.

JUN-28 BOSTON, MA BANK OF AMERICA PAVILION JUN-29 SHELBURNE, VT THE GREEN AT SHELBURNE MUSEUM JUN-30 TORONTO, ONT MASSEY HALL This ticket issue has to do with Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario June 30 Oblivious, you are talking about the Massachusettes show June 28? So are we talking about two different shows?
  18. I gave a fleeting thought to not saying that, and then realized, hey, I don't care what other people think. I only care about what I like (and I did say "like"). It's not his best, because I absolutely LOVE Cold Roses and Jacksonville. And I wish I could have heard some other songs from Easy Tiger, especially Goodnight Rose, but I have heard that twice this year at Cardinals rock shows in Chicago and Indy. So I'm happy with the show.
  19. Absolutely loved the show at Gem Theater in Detroit. "Strawberry Wine" was the highlight for me, as it is one of my favorites, and I actually like most of 29 which is a good thing because they played a lot from it. The Gem Theater itself was one of the highlights as well. So beautiful, so intimate, nice sound, tables and chairs cabaret-style on the floor. We shared a table with two young Wilco/Tweedy fans from Grand Rapids who were also at the infamous (in that there is no recording of it!) Tweedy solo show at the Calvin Chapel. One of the best Tweedy solo shows ever. So good times, g
  20. You were good people to adopt her, and it sounds like she enjoyed her life even though it was from under a porch. Condolences to you and Lilac Rain and the rest of her family.
  21. Aw, Dollars - they're just having a little fun with you. There is a gi-normous thread discussing this and a lot of other unrelated nonsense here in this "Just a Fan" section -- you can't miss it if you look down a few threads. I mean, it's a HUGE thread. I'll sum it up in a nutshell: Some Wilco fans are really pissed off about this, but more are happy the band is getting some attention and a bit o' dough.
  22. Gorgeous, Peel!!! Just gorgeous!
  23. Now that you know his age from that past thread, let's geek out on Glenn some more. He is worthy of multiple threads IMO! Indy show last week: Photo courtesy Joel Faurote, Fort Wayne. http://jtfdzn.zenfolio.com/p182366327/
