No problem - threads are moving by pretty fast and furiously with all the hoopla surrounding SBS release tomorrow. This was already on page 2. Thanks for posting the cover pix and the article.

Dang! Saturday in Chicago is good timing, but I'm not a big fan of HOB as a venue. A2 might work better. Decisions, decisions.

Somebody needs to tell them they've left Mikael Jorgensen completely off of the credits page, though.

This morning it's #4 !!!!! Must be the Prairie Home Companion ripple effect!

It's a sweet kinda day for a birthday! May happiness abound!

No secret show -- Jason told Ms. Y that they were packing up and leaving. PS - Sorry it took me so long to respond -- my internet crapped out on me at the exact moment I was posting this over an hour ago. *snarl*

If Ms Yvon tells all ... I just texted her the question!

Kyle was right.

I do love Guster. Brian's road journals? The Joe's Place episodes? What a fun/funny band.

Great poster! I have no tips for you about the logistics of attending this show, I just wanted to add my 2 cents about how much I wanted to see one of these acoustic shows in "The Dirt Underneath" tour. I have listened to some cuts from one of the earlier shows*, and what I hear is phenomenal. I mean, a toned-down acoustic DBTs? I sure hope they continue offering up some acoustic songs in their regular DBT rock shows once in a while. Don't get me wrong, I love the rock shows, but knocking it down a notch or two for a few songs would be a breath of fresh air for my ears. * http://www.

I don't think that's asking too much. Not at all. How nicely written, too. What could be a slightly awkward request was written with tact and respect. I love the fact that they are putting a real CD inside the vinyl. Has any band ever done that? I love that the band gives back to its fans every time they allow taping. I love the community of friends the band fosters by being accessible to us. We're pretty lucky to have such a deal.

This must be a joyous day for you, baab. The news is spreading fast! Jeff Tweedy loves Abba!

That webcast from last night (it was just Ben Gibbard solo, not DCFC) will be made available for download on NPR -- that much I did hear from the NPR guy as I was listening in between David Bazan and Ben Gibbard's sets. I listened to a couple of Ben's songs but once I knew I could listen later, I bailed. Damn. So I entirely missed the Wilco cover by the Office dude. He was on the cover of Magnet or some indie music magazine recently with The Shins. That guy gets around! Edit: It is available now for listen/download -- http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=9935188

Glenn does great PR. And I agree with you -- this interviewer was quite well prepared judging by his questions about Glenn and about Wilco. Thanks so much for this link.

I saw that too. I would like that job, please -- you know, the one where accuracy doesn't matter.

http://e.bordersstores.com/a/hBGP-UcAQfEXs...Xau$/newm6 if that doesn't work, maybe this one? http://www.bordersmedia.com/features/video/wilco.asp Have we seen this one yet? There's a lot of publicity going on and I don't profess to have seen it all.

A couple of them you know, Johnny - Doug and Jackson from the LR show. (Jackson, of course, of the infamous "let's flip off the camera" photo. ) And a couple of the others were tough converts. "I just don't get Wilco." Eventually I gave up on them, although their ears perked up one evening while we were all playing dice and I had the singles collection going. "Who is this? This is great stuff." And then Kicking Television came out and that completely SOLD them. Now they are 100% obsessed. Hey Johnny, let me know if you need to sell your tickets, I think we might need even mo

Yeah, that was kinda funny, but not really funny. The article was good. I will try to post it if I can find it online, but so far I find nothing. May have to transcribe it.

Hey, that wasn't the pop culture reference I was going for. But I do love Tom Robbins.

Heck, stretch it out to two days. Or the whole weekend! Yes! Take it easy, get well soon, and snuggle with an armful of kitties
