Their latests album Here &Now, had a bunch of cool people on it, Ryan Adams, Ben Kweller, James Iha and covers of Nada Surf and My Morning Jacket, plus the second disc was all live. It sounded like it would be good, but it was pure shit. Really it was horrible. I mean soft rock is the worst thing to ever happen to music.

Wonders if you are listening to the real album that came out yesterday or the fake leak that came out a couple of months ago. The fake leak is pretty juvenile and lyrically dumb (which was its point I think). The real album is pretty cool, lyrically more mature, but not a hell of a lot more, then the leak. Ben has always had a tongue and cheek way of witting, which can be off putting, but I think there are some great stories in the songs. good for you. I am in a phase where I hate most of my music, and any new music I hear is crap. So I have been filling my iPod up with movies and TV shows.

I think people are confused, there is a part of the Genius that goes to the iTMS and recommends music to buy, which is pretty much crap. Then there is a Genius playlist button, which when you click a song it goes through and creates a playlist based on that song. I have found the songs are pretty close, and then sometimes not. For some reason the Genius seems pretty confused by Ryan Adams. And I guess who isn't.

The Genius is either hit or miss for me. I would say 60% hit and 40% miss. I'd be interested in the algorithm they used to come up with the Genius playlists.

The thing that baffles me about this election, so far, is the fact that the focus of the race is now Obama vs. Palin. Which makes you wonder why is not McCain vs Obama, as it should? And remember the Constitution only gives one power to the Vice President, to break ties in the Senate. And the only other job is to become president when the president dies or is removed from office. That is it. I have not heard what Biden's role, nor Palin's role will be in their respective administrations, nor do I think anyone has said. Boo hoo hoo media bais again, please. Time's job is to sell magazines Obama is a much more charismatic person. He is what people are interested, hate 'em or love him. Also remember Obama was in a much longer fight for his parties nomination where he was actually news for several months, whereas McCain not so much. If you where the editor of Time think to yourself one guy has just come out of a long bitter fight to get his parties nomination.
