I like San Fran, especially that young pitcher they got. Though I feel he will have his sophomore slump as it were. Does anyone think that Manny won't end up with the Dodgers for the next year?

This needs to stop. What was once an interesting conversation has devolved into LammyCat and bobbob1313 arguing back and forth and saying the same thing over and over again. Enough already! Your comments aren't gonna change anyone's mind let alone each other. It is truly pointless. This use to be my favorite thread where I could read some baseball talk with a bit of fun, now it is madding. Come on, most teams pitchers and catchers report very soon. Which to me is great. Let's leave this talk of steroids and our opinions and let's talk about the game as it stand now. I would much r

Yeah he should have gone to the cubs. They need more outfielders

I can see LammyCat's head exploding.

Damn, are their any decent players out there?
-
Yeah, cause in my original post I talked about A-Rod. It was a general comment on how this how debate really sucks. Especially since now one of the supposed "cleanest guys" in all of baseball was a cheat like the rest of them. Now every single player is under suspicion. Hell if A-Rod did it, why not Pujlos, Jeff Kent, of Nefi Perez? Unfortunately that is what has happened. Players will say they didn't do it until they get caught and then say sorry. I am not saying Puljos did so steroids, but we don't know do we. The culture that the steroid era has brought is everyone is a drug using
-
yeah cause he never took 'Roids. see what I did there. I added suspicion with no cause, its what we can do in this era, and it sucks.
-
Because there is a conspiracy against A-Rod.

I am gonna try to turn this conversation to something a hell of lot more fun: Cubs Pitchers and Catchers report in 4 days! Awesome!

I will cling, innocent until proven guilty I say. Though I would assume the sources are reliable otherwise SI wouldn't print it. However, these sources it seems funny, why has only A-Rod been named. It seems like they have an ax to grid with him, maybe for good reason. I really will not pass judgment until a clearer picture of the whole thing comes out. I would really like to actually see the full list of all 104 players. So going on the assumption that A-Rod did take steroids what do you do to him? Does he get the punishment first time offense? Does he banned from the HOF? What do
-
Well yes. You are claiming a guy's guilt, you need to back up your claim with facts. Who are these independent sources? You said it was fact, all I heard was independent sources. That to me is not fact. Is is speculation. I could come up with five independent sources that say you murder goats. Is it true, probably not. But now there is speculation that LammyCat murders goats. The only way I'll be happy is if I see the positive test report or a credible and known source confirms the results. I really don't like these shawdowy "independent sources." If a guy is proven that he has use
-
Show your work, specifically in regards to A-Rod. And four "independent sources" is not enough. The burden of proof is on you. What are the consequences? What are we gonna do with A-Rod, or Bonds for that matter? What about those 100 odd players on the report. What about the players who did steroids with a "doctor's" prescription. What about pre-1991 steroid use? What about that dude who pitched a no hitter on acid? And to dredge something else up those pitchers who "spitball." All of this sucks, but there is no good answer of what we should do we have to move on. MLB now
-
With all of this speculation and hearsay around A-Rod do we really know if his name is on the list? 4 independent sources sure sound credible in the crawl during sport center, but hell I could come up with four independent sources that says all kinds of things. I am not saying that that A-Rod did or did not use steroids, but we will never know. The same extent the same will be true of Bonds. And say if we definitively find out that player X did steroids in 2003 or whenever, what can we do? Change is life time stats (if we do that do we change records of games won and lost)? Ban him fro
-
Here is the thing about steroids and baseball. MLB itself has to put a lot of blame on itself with their lack of effort in dealing with the problem. From the article "Though MLB's drug policy has expressly prohibited the use of steroids without a valid prescription since 1991, there were no penalties for a positive test in 2003." Regardless if Bonds, A-Rod, whomever had a positive test in 2003 or prior MLB had no consequences for those actions. Heck, who is to say that with a positive test they did not have a valid prescription for it? MLB has to live with the mess they made. No playe

don't you know any talk of bad mouthing anything about Wilco on this board will get you immediately killed.

You are thinking too lineally about the show. When we saw the Orchid Station being built in 5.01, we saw Daniel there. Because you didn't see Sawyer, et al, doesn't mean they weren't there. In Daniel's time line, he will and the other's (if they all don't die) will go to the building of the Orchid station. We should see this in a future episode. This wibbly wabbley timey wimey stuff is very confusing. I don't think the producers will fall into the trap of using the time travel as crutch. They have rules, and I don't think they will break those rules. I am sure the Lost Producers

As my brother said, when I told him I don't get M Ward , "Well, that is too bad for you."

There are theories that Jin is Chang's son. Just cause they are both Asian and all. Though it would make more sense. Miles and Chang.

Dusty Baker? That is all I got. And well if that is all I got I am sorry.
