In one of the SBS interviews Jeff mentions "soon" as in the "next 18 months, as opposed to 3 years". (paraphrasing) Let's hope.

Well, I disagree. They're not just following religion; they want to stop human progress, curb our liberties, our right to self governance, our freedom to read and write, secular education, planned parenthood, and a myriad of other things we take for granted. The fundamentalists must be stopped.

I read that Jeff thought it would be 'amusing' to have that name for a rock band. Stickin' it to the music biz guys a bit..? ("so is Wilco wilco"? who's on first? what?)

What about a cast of classic actors from the way back? Say, Peter O'Toole as Pat, Tony Curtis or Bill Shatner as Jeff... James Dean as John. Clint as Nels? I'm struggling here.

Labeling gay and pro-choice people as terrorists and rapists, for starters? It's total brainwashing. Plus, the package it comes in is supposedly "cool", complete with contemporary music, lights, dance etc. Feck.

Some pills did nothing for me. Correct diagnosis is the key. SSRI's didn't work, tetracyclics did. The difference it made in my life was dramatic and almost immediate. The people I'm close to can all attest to that.

I think it's fine to have strong philosophical positions or opinions on these matters, but it would be much more helpful if people backed that up with reference to something they've experienced. If you've never experienced a major depressive episode, or panic disorder, your comments may come off as a bit callous or insensitive to someone who has.
